    That is what I figure will happen but I don’t think it would hurt to expose him to the nhl for a game or 2.

    He is already a member of the Ed Snider Foundation board and has been for some time. He loved his time in Philly and is looking forward to returning.

    Sight unseen he can’t be worse than Peterson. That was the premise of giving him a game or 2 to spell Errson going down the stretch and that is still conditional on him getting out of Russia/Belarus.

    Kosolov has finished his season in the KHL and is technically under contract with the Flyers. When Jonesy was asked about him he replied that they were working on his visa to get him over here but it would be a few weeks. So I would have to think that Peterson would be gone if that happened. I wouldn’t mind seeing him play at least a game or two with the Flyers instead of Sandstrom just to introduce him to the club if nothing else.

    Wayne Simmonds is signing a one day contract to retire as a Flyer. He always was one of my favorites for his ability to score on the ice or with his fists.

    So they can’t send him down for rehab? I thought they had at least a small number of games that allowed it. P.S. Not holding my breath for Johansen’s debut in a Flyers uniform.

    What a novel idea, using draft picks for actual draft picks. It might not hurt to explore some of the wealth of info out there on players in college and junior hockey and take a look at potential longer shots i.e. 4th or 5th rounders. Oh never mind……that is just too crazy of an idea…..

    Ristoleinin was playing much better hockey up until his injury. It is possible that Torts finally got it through his skull that he is a dman with actual defensive responsibilities. He was always good for a smoking hit but he was abandoning his responsibility to make it. He seemed to be taking less stupid lazy penalties too with the exception of Wes Mcauley type calls. (Just ask Torts).

    I have been enjoying the season so far and the biggest difference is work ethic of several of the young guys. I will however give them a C due to picking up Johnson and not a big fan of Staal either. I realize they needed experience but wow do they set the play back with their lack of speed. 7 years earlier in their careers and I would have been thrilled. The goaltending situation should have been on their radar and also addressed. Other than those two glaring issues I would have said A-.

    How bad is it when we have to hope for Seeler’s return to stabilize the D? The guy is a second pairing d-man at best on any other team. Not saying he wouldn’t improve the current dmen they are icing but I don’t plan on him becoming the next coming of Jesus either.

    They are in desperate need for a real nhl goalie. Sandstrom or Peterson don’t even qualify as ahl level and Errson is ridiculously overplayed because of it.

    Was enjoying the first 2 periods but Sandstrom was playing lights out and got some lucky breaks. The third period not so much. I really miss fighting………

    I don’t think I have ever seen three broken sticks on the penalty kill ever. I miss Deslaurier……

    To his credit, Sandstrom played outstanding the second period but this is his normal self in the 3rd. Errson didn’t stand a chance on the first 2 but the third goal he let in was horrid. Not a Johnson fan.

    Eric Johnson showed his blazing speed……and there is the Sandstrom I am used to seeing.

    Silly me. I paid for the hockey package on directv and this will be the 4 th time this season I have to jump through hoops to watch the game. Been a subscriber since the inception of dtv but I will be canceling in roughly 17 games. Just tired of the crap.

    Won’t bother me to see Seeler or Staal go. Staal’s biggest drawback is he is old enough to have fathered half of this philly line up….Seeler has played games full of brilliance followed by an equal number of boneheaded ones. His shot blocking is his strong point but how many times is that because of him being out of position to make a true defensive play.

    If you are looking to improve your draft pick, Peterson and Sandstromm are the way to go. Neither one of those guys are NHL caliber goalies.

    Something about a cart and a horse? So 4 players “stiffed” her on payment? This thing is going to be a blivot…..10 lbs of crap in a 5 lb bag. Another example of the Duke Lacrosse team I hope it is not.

    Pretty sure we won’t see Jeremy Roenick on the ice unless it is the old timers game. Does the name Billy Tibbetts ring a bell? Maybe Steve Downie? Flyers in the past have made some mind boggling decisions,not always good ones.If Hart is innocent he should be paid retroactively by the NHL for games lost and it should not negatively affect his career.

    I have read several stories on this and multiple stories contain conflicting info. I hope the truth comes out. That is the bottom line.
