Nashville has Blake Geffrion, Craig Smith,John Blum, Matt Halischuk.....and a few more that are only second year players. As far as young talent logging ice time, i would say they are about as close as any other team for fielding the same youth.

I think that is the way to approach it because it basically is a delay of game. It becomes obvious enough when a team is doing it. I hate sighting tree hockey but when you have too many men in the paint, it is a penalty. They get one warning and then get penalized for each infraction afterwards. Something along that line would go a long way towards making the game more watchable.

I hope they play for all 60 minutes. That has been one of the biggest issues, not keeping the pedal down. Bryz needs to stay focused too. The 2 goals at the end of the CBJ game was a combination of slacking defense and nonchalant goal tending (at the end of that game). I realize that it is hard to stay focused when you have a 7 goal lead but still.....

Just watched the clip and yes he did include himself when making the comments but those remarks have some specific targets. Speculation that Bruce Boudreau should sit Knuble for the devils game, please...Knuble cut right to the heart of the problem, it is up to Bruce Boudreau to come into the practice and address the "clowns" with issues. I always hated the screw ups that got you extra laps at practice and I am sure that Knuble does too.

I always have and always will like Simon Gagne. I was pissed when he was basically let go but that was one of the hard decisions that Homer had to make (and the right one). I am in total agreement with not wanting him to get Lindrosed/Primeaued.

LOL...I was thinking exactly the same thing fc..and it is probably a safe bet that Eric's parents won't be part of that deal. I always liked his (Lindros) style of play when he wore the O&B. If he had ever learned to keep his head up he would have played a lot longer in the league.

Between Clarke and Homer, both have been down that path (substance abuse)and probably went to great lengths to separate them and give them both a chance to get their **** together. They gave them the message to get it together when they shipped off Lupul and Upshall to break up the crew. I think that both Carter and Richards scoffed at that due to the length of the contracts they signed. That was a big mistake on their part. They should have realized that Homer only had a short window to move them before the NMC clauses kicked in.The best part so far is that it looks like the return for sending them away has been tremendous. I really hope those two will get their heads screwed on right and thank Homer for giving them a second chance. Probably won't happen anytime soon but you never know.

I like the way he is gelling with Giroux and Jagr. He is going to score even more down low with Jagr and Giroux drawing the bulk of the attention on the ice.However, I truly hope he starts taking some after hour skating sessions/lessons from Jagr on how to maintain your balance while on skates.

I think what sums up his play the best was when he is flying down the ice, Giroux has the puck, and he signals Giroux to pass to an open Hartnell on the other side of the ice. Totally unselfish play which personally I never expected from Jagr. He has turned out to be a better fit on this team than anyone could have hoped for. Hell, he even has Hartnell scoring again. And yes, I was one of those who thought he would not fit in here due to his style of play over the course of his career. I prefer my crow sauteed with onions, garlic and red pepper and will gladly finish it.

That has got to go down as the most EMBARRASSING.STAT.EVER.

Good Call on the Ron Francis comparison. He might smile like Clarke but it is going to be tough for anybody to match the mean streak he had when he was on the ice.
