My friend Howie, the Bear is very aggitated right now with this Flyers team this year because when you enjoy watching hockey you don't get it from this team. Not even in the least. It is ok to lose but not with what we are seeing. What is distrurbing most is how far they have fallen from last year. What's going on? You mean that being without essentially Jagr and Carle has caused all of this? And a few other injuries to other guys has caused this tailspin? Bryz has even played better. Who would of thought this. Please. In my opinion we have a vast overrating of the players on this team by the management, the GM in particular, who continues to think they can feed the Flyers Faithful this kind of slop and just watch the cash register continue to ring. Too many of these players had career years last years, and it is not going to happen again. This team is just rediculous. They fire my coach Laviolette and I will be done forever with this organization.

Been away traveling all last week. Saw a lot of other NHL teams. Turned on to watch Flyers tonight. So disappointing to see what this team has become. Just not a lot of skill or real playmaking. No flow. Just turned it off. Boring.

The true reason for Boucher being acquired is now coming to light. A critical, turning-point road trip in the early season and Homer goes with his best backup because The Man Of A Thousand White Tigers and His Uranus cannot play every game. Boosh has been playing. He does not need an oil can like The Leaky Leighton Tinman. When Boosh steals a couple games he is then the heir apparent backup G like the plan was from the beginning. Remember, Boosh not Leighton is the one with the pictures. The only thing that could become the fly in Howie's Chardonnay is if Bryz feels "threatened" and starts chirping again to the press as well as letting in 80 footers... In other words becomes unstable and reverts. The cure for that is simple though, a hard practice with no mask or goalie pads.

Howie: Better. Not great but better. 3rd left much to be desired. We miss Jagr's puck control, and still need a puck moving defenseman. This is no surprise. With the moves Homer tried to pull off, he was well aware of the D deficiency. He threw a lot against the wall but it is not sticking. Luke Schenn should be required to stick handle 16 hours a day and sleep with his stick until he develops a real feel for it and puck control. Maybe get some lessons for Pitkanen.. BOI

With all respect, we all like Mike a lot but I mean are we at that point? This is plain and simple a rebuilding. Call it for what it is. Last year fooled us into thinking we were further along. I hope that I am proven wrong but I suspect not.

Rad: Well said. The Flyers have gone dramatically backwards in experience level since moving those three. I am not saying it was bad. In fact I think it was right, but there is cause and effect. Then we loose Pronger. That was big. Now this year Jagr (never thought I would be saying it) and Matty Carle. Briere, Knuble, and Talbot are good guys but... Think it is best if everyone sees it for what it is, a basic rebuilding. I wonder if our GM, management, or ownership sees it that way. I suspect not. Most decisions are based upon getting one old man another ring and that means they are short term. BOI
