  1. Bingo. I've been ripping on Suter's laziness since the days of (name redacted) hockey boards, and people wondered what I had against him. Nice to see that people have wised up to him. All that talent and size, but zero work ethic. Makes me wonder how he managed to have kids without marrying pregnant women..
  2. The way the Wild PP has been going, even Bob Schnelker would be an upgrade for drawing up Xs and Os. I like what what Wild are doing so far in the 3rd.. throwing pucks at the net with no "defensive shell" stuff yet.
  3. Yep.. it's the proverbial square peg into round hole design. Brad Childress could draw up a better PP than ours. We're sure fun to watch at even strength, though.
  4. It looks like the Wild have solved their 2nd period blues. Would love to see them keep the foot on the gas pedal in the 3rd. Kick 'em when they're down, Wild!
  5. YAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!! каприсов стреляет он забивает!! This is only a test post. Had this been a real post, Kaprisov would've scored at the 8:17 mark of the 2nd period.
  6. Smoke signals and telegraphs both have another benefit that's not widely advertised: tech support folks speak the same language as their users. And no Philly accents to worry about, either.
  7. Ahhh, good old Shakey. I was there when he got the hatty at the WHA All Star game. I was 8 at the time, and kept asking dad "St. Paul is on the east side of the Mississippi: why are all the dummies at the Civic Center cheering for the West?" That sniffling noise in the background is either my wallet feeling an allergy coming, or my golf bag finding out that it might not see new clubs for yet another season.
  8. Same here. Got my Wild sweater one year after the "inaugural season" patch. No name or number on it yet (tho I was sorely tempted to put Skoula and minus-41 on it at one time..) Also have a North Stars sweater and other items signed by former players from past Alumni Association golf outings, and a handful of late 80s / early 90s vintage jerseys that no longer fit due to increasing "musculature" of my physique.. It'll be interesting to see what Antti posts for unloading: my wallet develops a mysterious allergy to cash when confronted with vintage North Stars and Saints stuff.
  9. B-b-b-b-but... look at all the assists Suter gets. Are you and Rotty off your rockers, or just blind haters? Dontcha know that you should be worshiping the silk on his jock strap?
  10. Yep.. it's our ticket to the Stanley Cup starting 2025/26. Now.. what would possess a Wild fan to pick that season as the light at the end of the tunnel? Looking at a couple of boat anchors cap hits had nothing to do with it. Honest.
  11. Same here. CBS Sports had a good forum that I joined in 2007 as Warped Mind, but after a few years they decided that having fans actually talk about sports online wasn't their cup of tea. But I ran into some cool Flyers fans there, and had some fun on one of their boards for a while. It was eye-opening to learn that there was actually such a thing as "cool Philly sports fans" Wish I'd remembered their screen names to see if any of 'em are here now. BTW, I'm ecstatic that the Wild extended Koivu; it was richly deserved.
  12. Falling behind now so I'll have more time to catch up later

  13. Works for me. Name Redacted had its share of trash talking, but for the most part it was pretty civilized. Even when the gloves came off, the punches typically stayed above the belt and inside the ring. Once in a while we'd get a prize cementhead; if the admins here are able to nip that in the bud, you'll have lots of happy hockey fans on your hands.
  14. That depends. Do you mean before or after Koivu gets tossed from the circle?
  15. Thanks, pilldoc and hf101. Brother's in town with his little muchkins right now, but I'll browse around here and check out some more posts when peace and quiet returns..
  16. Nice to see some familiar names here. Chalk up another soon to be former WMB member here. Confucius says, those who study Calculus find life full of limits.
