  1. By continuously trying in a losing streak, a team always finishes to win at a certain point. So the more the Sharks lose, the higher are the odds of winning.
  2. The last time that a team allowed 10 goals in back-to-back games was in 1965, a period where ice hockey was a different sport and goaltending wasn't really a thing.
  3. Some of folks in Dallas seem to have the same issue with Bally and cannot watch Stars game. I don't have this issue with the Sportsnet+ subscription.
  4. Comparable to Andersson's hit. Not in the action, upward motion, skates almost above the ice, head as the target. Should be at least 4.
  5. Contrats @yave1964, I feel like playing against you is like trailing 5-1 with 3 minutes remaining and call all your bench with the back-up goalie to jump on the ice with the hope that no one will notice. Got blasted with Georgiev letting me down, I lacked a bit of everything which usually translates in a significant ass-whopping in match play format.
  6. Those Oilers jerseys... Nothing original, the logo is bad, the rectangle-shaped shoulders looked odd, having brown pants and gloves to make them look like leather in an artificial vintage mock-up is terrible. At that point, stick to royal blue. The Flames unis were a better but nothing great either. I prefer those worn for their last Heritage classic much more.
  7. Caught that a while ago when the Lightning faced the Caps in the playoffs. No one was quicker than Tampa that year...
  8. Matt Martin and the clone of Matt Martin scored both at the exact same time. Cizikas being only able to be at one location at a time could only assist on one of the two goals.
  9. Jumbo Joe is the man. Such great memories when he played for Davos in the Swiss league during lock-outs and winning the championship title, the town where I'm born, and he married his wife who's also from there. He still likes to go back there for summer training and is keeping bounds with the area. Definitely one of my favorite players.
  10. I hate Buttman and the NHL even more. This was unique to this League and this sport as part of a folklore. But hey, it's all 'bout money, isn't it...?
  11. Finally there's some justice there, thank to the Devils' brain farts to start the third period.
  12. This was followed by a Caps time-out where the TNT broadcast spent the whole time with a big zoom on the livid Sheperd's mother in the stands. That was mean lol.
  13. Appealed. Not that Andersson doesn't deserve a suspension, but despite that all boxes are checked in terms of what does the League wants to get rid of (head as the main target, skates above the ice, etc.), you can find many other actions that were way worse than this and resulted in a lighter suspension. I think they will stick to 4 games (maybe decreasing it to 3).
  14. Caught the game at the end of it. With both Ersson and Wedgewoops in goal, I should've bet on the O/U 7.5 instead of the winner. Sad for Ersson who made a fantastic glove save on Hintz's one-timer before letting Pavelski's backhand in. However: And two of them on the same power-play lol. I guess everyone's happy: The Stars got the two points, Flyers grab one on the road with grit.
  15. Oof, 4 games for Andersson. The NHL players safety had a heavy hand on that one.
  16. Or they think that Québec is independent since 1995. Maybe they should sing the french version, "Ô Canana, terre de nos aïeux" etc.
  17. Polls are now open: I'm going with 2 games (Maybe only 1)
  18. lol, red wine for me. We just agreed on another deal with @yave1964 after centuries of back and forth. I gave up my miracle baby boy Seider and Dillon Dube for Forsberg and Veleno. My team of butchers severely lacks players who can score empty netters on a soccer goal from a 1-inch distance, so I gave tons of hits, blocks and PP presence to compensate, with Dube and Veleno as assets to cover for the LW loss. I'd never have made this trade in a keeper league but as usual, when I say firmly that I will stay put and not move one single inch, I end up making trades because the temptation is too strong, even if I get screwed.
  19. As much as talented Bedard can be, Hall and Donato just can't be of any help supporting him. When Crosby or Matthews entered the League, they had decent support. The Hawks might surprise from time to time but they are still trash with a unique PP line rolling over and over. Good match-up with the Sharks and the Habs to finish dead last.
  20. Durzi, Trouba, Dumba, Goodrow & co. have had some fun tonight in Big Apple
  21. @pilldoc Congrats on your win! As expected, it was a tight fight 'till the end. Vatrano and the Ducks killed me, and the most tragic part is that both plumbers Jeannot and Teravainen did their job beyond expectations at trying to limit the leaks but the flood finally occurred late in the evening lol.
  22. I'm watching Habs vs. Hawks. The Centre Bell has many empty seats and the only thing this crowd found to do is to boo Bedard everytime he touches the puck. I'm no fan of Chicago at all but the Montréal fanbase is absolutely insufferable and is by far the worst of the League.
