  1. Fantastic job with the numbers!! I sort of did my own thing from 2000 thru 2010 for 4 teams--would've taken me 8 hours to post it so I didn't. Question--do you think the total amount of games played for each draft pick be included if it's a significant number--say above 800? For example, Chicago had 2 players with about 1000(1004 and 995) total games played and 3 players with approx 800(791, 822, 827) total games played that were drafted between 2000 and 2010. I don't know how one would work that into the equation for determining draft success, though. And that was quite a run for CBH so the comparison might be a bit unfair.
  2. To add to your comment I'd like to say that I'm not sure why any GM would want to be in that situation, either. Not to point any fingers.
  3. Under the definition for "dumb jock" in the dictionary, you'll find a picture of Suter along with an audio clip of some of his quotes.
  4. The success in Houston compared to the mediocrity of Iowa could be an indication of overall poor drafting by GMCF combined with the fact that he made so many deals where he traded away draft picks that the Wild simply had less drafted players coming in to feed the system.
  5. I'll have to be a little clearer indicating sarcasm...
  6. The second assist numbers are that high because Suter can see what's going to happen 2 plays ahead of anyone else. He makes the pass that sets things in motion. He's a little like Gretzky that way...
