i think moving up in the draft is blowing smoke he knows it's very difficult to move up, i think briere wants to acquire young elite talent if it's available.

actually i wanted this to happen and love it, i mean 90s and 00s jerseys they were awesome and i think it's the main reason why we played so well with those. i guess jersey designs bring out the best in players, ever since we went back to the old style jerseys, i think that's when everything started to fall apart, i cant speak for the players, i got a feeling that players feel attached to certain designs that brings out the best in them.

right and the only possible way for them to acquire a top end d man it has to be vet because those guys dont grow on trees and drafting for one will take longer to develop and it wont make sense since you have alot of youth on this team and you have carter hart eventually you have to speed the rebuild up because carter hart doesnt have 5 or 6 years to wait especially they are committed to keeping him. whole point of rebuilding is to play youth and getting more cap money to spend when the stars become available either thru fa or trades or if we are lucky we land bedard

i mean we are getting a talented player in this draft regardless, whether it's 40 goal scorer in bedard, or 25 goal scorer, next year, everything for us to be a contender really depends on our guys staying healthy, tk courturier and hopefully farabee returns to his 25 goal self and if owen can replicate the 20 goal season as well and what players briere trades away and replaces them with the players that can give us 20 or more goals, if he does that and our goaltending is solid, we could be back in the playoffs. the main reason why we arent contenders is because we lost so much production, jvr is done, courturier, cam, tk is out, farabee took a step back from his injury, i mean if everyone was healthy we probably would have been a wild card team.

really shows on how much you value defense because that lineup was disaster in 2021 but because of just money, it's ok to see our goalies get lid up 5 goals at game and think that's going to win games.

so staying in the lottery for 3 decades is the better way rather than clearing up cap space and try to bring in stars for these young players to get this team over the hump? really shows how much you care for these young players because you have hate and bitterness towards the fo. you want them to fail and you want the young players that want to win more than you to fail as well.

if he was 35 goal scorer, im sure he would get a first rounder but the fact this draft is so deep, no one is going to give up a first rounder for someone that's over 30 and scoring less than 25 goals, teams look at it and say i'll take my chances in the draft than trade for him. highest they will probably get for him maybe 3rd round pick.
