Watching TSN/NHL. Happy to see them giving Carle is props. Seems it is only flyer fans that think he sucks. I think not signing him will be a be mistake UNLESS they sign Suter.

I don't like this signing. However on the list of priorities it is pretty low so my focus is else where. Look for Bryz to play 65+ games next year.

Wow. It's left to me to point out I don't play on the team and I could probably look at my own personal travel plans and contrast it with the remaining teams without having any effect on the outcome of the game tonight.

I'm really hoping the flyers end up playing the panthers in the next round. Not because I think the flyers can win, not because they wouldn't end up playing the Rangers, but because it will be much easier for me to go to the games in Miami. So I need either the Caps or Sens to win. Common guys somebody please step up. I need to go to the games. Howie if you are out there I presume you are hoping for the same.

I've often read Vancouver is the leagues most hated team. I don't know if that is true or not but I hope that has or will change to the Pens.

Reading various blogs, websites, etc. I have noticed a genuine appreciation of the flyers by non-flyer fans. I don't know if this is because they are the lesser of two evils when compared to the Pens but when I read things like, "I can't beilieve I am saying this but the pens are the dirtier team of the two,", " you can never count the flyers out,"., etc.I am satifiied the flyers are not the most hated team in the league. While I don't think the OB will every be the favorite team of NHL fans I have notice a general appreaciation of the flyers.

Today I had the pleasure of watching the game with a friend of mine. He is a habs fan and former junior hockey player. He knows hockey. I'd like to think I do as well. After the 1st period he turns to me and asks,"is sh!tsburg always this dirty"? I was a bit shocked thinking I've watched flyer hockey since the mid 80's and really have grown a dislike for the pens but somebody else completely neutral is noticing their BS. I took some satisfaction that somebody neutral to the game saw their tactics (even prior to Neal, Adams and Asham BS). He mentioned after every whistle he watched the pens stick, poke, prod, etc. I had explained this is what Lavy and Torts were trying to point out to the media. So I felt a bit vindicated knowing it is just not us o*b fans that see the pens for what they are but a completely neutral viewer. And by the way as a Canadian I think Crosby is a disgrace to Canadian hockey.

Another non-call on malkin, turns to a call on O&B. I don't mind missing calls - it happens. But that trip from behind is pretty much a slew foot.

@All, just to clarify I've always liked and supported R&C and never requested a trade however I was very happy with the return. I think Voreck was a huge pick up provided we can resign him when he becomes a restricted free agent. I think the point of my brief post, which Vanflyer expanded, is that the trade has really worked out. Normally it takes years to see if the team getting the younger players in a trade make the trade a win/lose but we are seeing the results very early. Philly/LA final would be great - actually Philly vs. anybody would be great.

No. I have a feeling that in 10 years we are going to look back at this team and say wholly I can't believe so and so was on this team and be amazed on how much talent we had. And then wish Pronger had been able to play.

If they go on stub hub do I mail my print out or send them the pdf? Sorry I've only bought once on stub hub. I will consider posting 4sale on this post if I can indeed use this forum for this purpose - which again was not the intent of my post.

I'm from out of town and by chance will be in Philly next week. I bought 6 tickets for game 4 when they were first released hoping to take some clients/friends/etc. I have the tickets which were sent via pdf and printed out. If I needed to sell them would I be able to put them on stub hub? Would I email the purchaser the pdf that I have? If I split them up for sale say 4/2 would I simply just adjust the pdf accordingly to have the correct tickets? Sorry I just want to have this planned out as far as I can in advance if I do need to sell them.

+1 - If i attended the game I would ask for a refund. The refs clearly and intentionally dominated the game.

Sure it is great but it is messin with my flight plans to PHL. I am there for a conference right during round one. If the OB get home ice this means I need to get there early. I blame this all on the 3-point shoot out games!

+1 That was classic. I have really gone from somebody who would personally drive him to any team willing to take him off the OB roster to somebody who must be resigned when his contract is up in 2 years (I think) and provided we can afford him with all the contracts coming up then. I digress...the Hogan imitation was priceless.

I agree on the irritating. Normally I can't stand him on air but today I thought he was fine. I wonder if there is any connection with the OB winning?

He has been a beast and i am all for resining him as discussed in a different thread. I didn't like the knee on knee though. I thought it was unintentional but unfortunate. Being down 3 starting d is the kiss of death. Props to the OB for overcoming this.

i completely agree and was coming to post just this. I think it is terrible for a national prodcast to have that much favoritism.

I have met Pierre a number of times had he is a great guy. I completely agree he is pro Crosby though and it drives me insane. However honestly I felt he gave the flyers a lot of props in this game.

I've been impressed with Rinaldo. It is very interesting to see his role increase. He has become a valuable little player. Coultier has been awesome. Lavy sure has a lot of faith in the young players. I like the team's speed, youth and heart. Again fun to watch.
