The cup isn't always won by the best team. I agree with you that the hurricanes are probably the better team, but, the Rangers are built for the playoffs, a very physical team that can win the game of attrition.
As much as I want to see the Bruins win this series, I am not sure it's going to happen. They had the panthers number this season, and have a score to settle in the playoffs, but I just am not sure it's enough. Even if they did win a game, Monty would mix it up in the next one. The up side is I would really love to see the Rangers and Panthers in a series. Not sure how much of either team would be left to play for the cup, but it would be a fun battle to watch.
I picked Rangers in 6. I don't think they are the better team, I think they are the team that plays more physical, hits harder, and that is what it takes in the play offs.
I had a family wedding on Saturday and missed the game live. When I got home I found my tivo had recorded the Canadian broadcast (live near the border) instead of NESN. As much as I have found Jack's broadcasts hard to listen to lately, listening to other broadcasters call the game is like listening to paint dry. Jack has always brought an enthusiasm to the game that no one has ever been able to match. He will be hard to replace
I'm glad I'm not the only one who didn't care for him in Boston. I really think that was the step too far last year for Sweeney that messed up the locker room chemistry.
I'm going to go out on a limb and say I believe the goalie rotation will be shelved for now and Swayman will start game 4, especially with an extra day rest
