    INJURY UPDATE: #Flyers Tom Sestito will have surgery to repair torn groin muscle on Tue., Feb. 21. He will be out for 6-8 weeks.

    Here’s another stat: By my count, the Flyers have scored 12 goals in roughly 100 minutes, or five periods, against Ryan Miller this season. And, dating back to Game 7 last year, that number increases to 16 goals in 141 minutes, or roughly seven periods.     OK, I am surprised nobody has thought of this one yet. Briere to Buffalo which gives Leino his old linemate back to get him going and former team captain back in the fold. To Flyers Tyler Myers which gives us the Young D-Man we covet as well as a little cap space. ($5,500,000 for TM vs $6,500,000 for DB) Wouldn't Ricks head explode with that trade!! Now that I type this out Is Tyler Myers worth $5.5??

    ROSTER UPDATE: The Flyers have recalled forward Eric Wellwood from the Adirondack Phantoms today. I guess it is to fill in for Jake if he is not good to go. Just what we need, more Rookies!

I guess it is an honor to be hated in two conferences by the top teams though I feel that Boston are a very up and down team and are not guaranteed to repeat. I guess NYR fans have little opinion of the Nucks as well though they may be very similar teams in the eyes of Eastern Conference teams.

    It is obvious that there is a need to replace a #1 D-Man as It appears that CP is finished. I guess the biggest question is do you replace your #1 D-Man with one player such as a Weber or two 3-6 D-Men and when is the best time to make a good trade, the deadline or the off-season? I think (hope?) Homer may snag a 4-5 Vet D-Man at the deadline and work out the rest in the off-season and rotate MAB & Gus in the last slot.

    Did you get any feedback from Boston fans on how they feel about the Canucks? Team1040 are always harping on about the Bruins and how after Chicago they are their biggest rivals.

    WOW! I read most of that! I wonder what pieces would have to go back to CBJ for them to get Carter. Reports are that they have only had one offer and it was very low. I wouldn't be at all surprised if he ended up in LA with his buddy. Time to bake a cake Johnny!!

    Bryz was Extremely Good and Incredibly Bad all in the one game but you also have to keep in mind that we are playing three Rookies in place of Pronger, Brier and JVR. Brier and hopefully JVR will be back soon so we don't have to play Renoldo, Sestito or Shelley all in the same game but we need to add something on the D and make the choice between MAB & Gus (who played nearly half the time as MAB).. In reality Renoldo, Sestito, Shelley and Harry Z should be the spare pieces and not relied on on a nightly basis (or bloody afternoon game!).
