  1. How do you "like" a post here? Because that summed it up perfectly. No seriously, where's the like button.....
  2. I'm happily eating crow! The transformation is nothing short of stunning, doesn't even look like the same player.....let's hope this is the real Bryz
  3. @Phillygrump Yeah, that's the heaven and Hell of the technology age, so much good information in a nanosecond but we have to wade through the craps to get to it
  4. @xganarchy Indeed, Rick lives! @Miller Time I didn't see the hit, but I can't see Buttman overruling his discipline czar
  5. Well that's what I needed, some snot nosed punk know it all with a blog admonishing me for stating what we all could plainly see - that Bryz flat out stunk. For months. Great that he's hopefully found his groove, but the author also fails to point out that his hot streak pretty much coincides with the D pulling itself together after the acquisitions of Grossman and Kubina.
  6. @Phlyer1 No comparison here to Lindros in 2000....88 and his parents and their battles with Clarkie...not to mention 88 had his own enemies in the locker room (my opinion). Sid doesn't have this baggage.
  7. Well there's clean, dirty, and legal. Dirty and legal are not mutually exclusive terms within the present context.....A dirty hit can be legal, and apparently that's what knocked Jake into next week.
  8. Yikes, sorry to hear you had the same nightmarish experience....I mean it's always fun to go to a game, you'd just like to win a few! Elias could have badgers gnawing at his face and he'd still manage to get on the scoresheet against the Flyers
  9. @mojo1917 True, but I would argue that he seems to have found his confidence and his groove in the last few weeks, so I'm not really sure Lavy needed to serve him the softer games of the two. His positioning, play and body language seem indicate a guy who is feeling pretty comfortable between the pipes. Add to that you're throwing a cold Bob out there against NJ...I'm not in the locker room and obviously Lavy has a read on his players, but this was just a head scratcher for me
  10. All true Knuckles, just tired of the Devils having our number for the last 15 years...and I would also add that Lavy resting Bryz didn't help the cause.....I mean if you're going to give the guy off one night of back to back road games, why it would be against NJ and not the Laffs is beyond me
  11. I was there to see it, and I can assure you it ******** happened. 19 shots and the only Flyer goal came when I was taking a leak. I should just stop going to these games in North Jersey, Christ my all time combined record at Newark/the Meadowlands is like 2-12. One of those wins was in 19freakin86 when the Devils used to average like two wins a month. While I'm at it, you know what else pisses me off? This whole "Jersey's team" marketing bull ****. I'm from Jersey, and that isn't MY ******** team. Seriously, they move a team from Kansas city to Colorado to freakin East Rutherford NJ, name it after a South Jersey legend, and market it like anybody south of New Brunswick gives 2 sh*ts about their New York wannabe franchise. Dammit. New business associates ask me frequently why I'm a not a Devils fan if I live in NJ.....Um, because Philly is like 25 minutes away, I practically grew up at the Spectrum, and those psuedo-ny priks play 2 hours north in some god forsaken strip of the most overpopulated area this side of Shanghai, that's why!
  12. Dammit Andy, you just jinxed my trip up the NJ Turnpike today!
  13. @Adamflyers I thought it was pretty interesting that the "Bryz, Bryz" chant went up late in the third period against Florida, after how hard we've been getting on him all year....and like I've said many times before, he deserved every Bronx cheer he got because he was playing like a dog. People call us fickle, but I think that's a mischaracterization - I think we see a player for what he is and what he's done, and react accordingly.
  14. A warm and fuzzy Flyers story in the Globe??? Good read though, now let's get 2 points tonight!
  15. Poulin is in the Flyers HOF, as it should be....
  16. Honestly it has to be Coots.....surprise just to make the team, let alone to be trusted by the coach enough to be getting serious ice time on the penalty kill and in the third period.
  17. Thanks terp He had good hands tonight for a guy that needed post game ice packs!
  18. Yeah Roo did get chopped in the Caps game, I'm drawing a blank on who did it though
  19. @AndyS Holy **** you're the chosen one??? I believe!!!!!
  20. @Poulin20 Yeah I'm really looking forward to this, long overdue I say! It was great having #2 back there, what a complete player- an eraser in the defensive zone, a smooth puckhandler coming out of it. He was a +72 or something ridiculous like that one year. When the puck got near him the play was usually over and headed back up ice. Just a pleasure to to watch him play
  21. @TedZep Not sure I'd say stole the game, but he looked damned good. Here's hoping I have to eat my words of the last few months
  22. Bryz looked more confident than any other game so far. Stayed square, good positioning, here's hoping he's finally coming out of the woods
  23. LOL Aw come on, I thought you guys loved Lindy! Take off a year and you could have been talking about Andy Reid......but I digress
  24. @BearOnIce I agree with #1,2&4, but as far as a disppointing year, I guess that's a function of what you actually expected this team to do. In July, after the shakeup, I figured it would be just slip into the playoffs, and that looks like what they're going to. The fast start got our hopes up, no doubt. I'm disappointed in the defensive play, but that also has to to be taken in consideration with Lavi's go-go offensive system, and the loss of #20. And obviously we're all disappointed in Bryz's body of work. But Read and Couturier have been pleasant surprises too. 2012-13 it is, and @AndyS yes thank jebus Homer didn't go hard after Nash
  25. OK but seriously, yes to the playoffs. But likely a 7 seed the way thing are going. Which gives us Boston in the first round....in which case see Jim Mora above
