  1. You guys don't get it. If he would stop letting in those soft goals he could be 1.000 SV%. He's no good.
  2. i'm fine with it too. He should probably stay there, though I'm somewhat interested to see if Torts can get him to be the player he was supposed to be... but I sure haven't seen it yet.
  3. Not sure where to post this so please move as appropriate... I'm doing an overnight event on Friday 11/11. The start point is FDR Park across from the WFC. I'll be driving down from NYC and will need to leave my car somewhere near the start... any south Philly locals know if there's a lot right by there or if street parking is alright? My memory says, "you probably don't want to park there" haha.
  4. I am emotionally distant from this team this season, but it is hard for a goalie to win a game when his side doesn't score any goals. Pretty sloppy game last night, understandable considering the b2b + time zone change. How is it we're at 6 games and already played 2 back to backs?
  5. I like Sanheim "fine" too. But this is another in a long list of self-inflicted blunders by the GM. Nice work, Chuck—took one of our best trade prospects for a great looking draft this summer, and made him unmovable. Classic move...
  6. shoulda been the only good thing about this season. Is that bad of me? Probably. But still true.
  7. welp i was surprised. let the record show I can admit when i am surprised by this team in a positive way.
  8. The flyers need to establish a standard to begin with. So far in the last 2-3 seasons, they haven't even done that. the grading should be an A or an F at this stage. There's no credit for a B- performance. There's no credit for an A individual performance. They haven't shown any reason for this to be otherwise.
  9. i already started. I like the guy. he's ok. is this going to help us trade him at the deadline?
  10. I'm not so cynical as to predict 82 straight losses. Some of them will be 2-1 / 1-0 OTLs, but my prediction is thus: 21-48-13. edit: we will also lose the draft lottery to NJD, no matter where they end up in the standings.
  11. I'm joining Twitter and I'm just going to copy everything the Iron Sheik posts and substitute "Chuck Fletcher" for whatever he's talking about. https://twitter.com/the_ironsheik/status/1580239008407638016?s=20&t=RU0yFCTuTOAvqHhSfLoofA
  12. don't be too quick to discount the return of Gerry Mayhew, at Dave Scott's demand.
  13. I am talking about Sanheim, but I’m making a comment on Chuck’s (lack of) competence.
  14. hard for me to answer given our GM. on paper, I'd say trade him and stockpile picks. In reality, Chuck would need to give away our 2023 first rounder in order "to get someone to take him," with minimal return.
  15. who should get top line forward minutes? i didn't see anyone on our team who fit that description. result was as expected. doesn't matter the lineup or the opponent. the result will be the same and hoping for anything else this year will just invite an ulcer.
  16. This, on top of the Taryn Hatcher news, has sealed the deal for me this season.
  17. JVR will score 15 goals after the trade deadline, and Dave Scott will say, "See? This is why we had to keep him.... Why should we have traded him for a pick? Yes, we're not going to make the playoffs again this year, but he helped us win some games in the back end and 20 goals in a season isn't too bad... I wonder how Gerry Mayhew is doing..."
  18. pretty much what we all expected. A D- should carry more weight to it than a F IMO. It shows (to me) they really looked at everything before they said "well this ****** sucks." An F to me would have made me think they just blew it off because it's not worth reviewing, which it is. I also expect to see this grade for another couple seasons before Fletcher is gone.
  19. As someone else said, there is of course a Minnesota connection here with Deslauriers. That’s all Chuck needs to open the checkbook, cap space what the hey.
