  1. Best pick of the night goes to San Jose Sharks and their ability to imprint their pick by showing the classiest way to communicate their pick. Thanks for your humanity.
  2. Thank you Nisky for your time in Philly. Enjoy your retirement. Thanks for also buying yourself out of the contract to give us more options for the season. Maybe Braun retires next at start of training camp. Ya Fletch pulled the trigger too soon. "You gotta move like Brind'Amour, Fletch"... "dangle a little before pulling the trigger."
  3. I'm really wanting to see Zdeno Sam Pronger to be able to suit up for the Flyers not too distant from now. Watching him and Ghost at the same time in the lineup was wonderful as Sam was able to speed back on defense to break up a play that was an odd man rush. He had the stride and the stick to stop a lot of bad things coming our way. And my long desire attribute to clear the dam porch from fleas popping in by our goalie. Bring back Rinaldo, he was pro active of taking out the trash that came our way. A lot of times I want to blurt out, "take out that bum" and there won't be a "did you see him dance his way around that player?" No, you cancel him out. Erase him from the equation. At least Hagg does this along with his micro hits in game.
  4. In regards to Patrick he isn't eligible I believe for arbitration or offer sheet since he hasn't played enough/any games this past season, don't know about LTIR status with entry level players as well. But bubble hockey, cap freeze and expansion all cause a perfect storm of unpredictability for next season. I guess when the next contagion, alien invasion particle beam attack or Battle Royale elections happen, we can arm chair this for a while.
  5. Who vs who? (player vs player) 1st 2nd 3rd pairs?
  6. I know, I know not many fans of who I'm about to say, who I will bring up, but this, this is what I miss....Rinaldo! yes, yes I don't know of any fans east of the Mississippi, but he use to cause the opposition to rethink their life choices when going to the boards. Imagine him and N.AK with Grant tapping peoples heads, tap tap tapperooo, just tap, tap, tappy it in...
  7. Ya Frost would be interesting, but I don't think "Interesting" is something we can afford after the series we just finished. Unless JVR causes team to loose or injury happens.....
  8. Dagnaggit OR you thought like me before I could post it, (can't steal your thunder)except one player.... Against the isles: Raffle/Coots/N.AK (Raffle seems to up his game on the top line and plays rugged/Coots just "Knows"/ K.NAK scores nice off of Coots vision, plus he HITS) Laughton/Hayes/Konecny (They know they have to play better, and will make that effort) Farabee/G/Jake (The 3rd Line that might be the difference maker) JVR/Grant/Pitlick (Two heavy lifters and a guy that can deposit his paychecks per goal if handed to him) Provy/Nisky Sanheim/Myers Ghost/Hagg Hart Moose
  9. I hope it's not every lunar eclipse....but that little alone by himself shift that he engaged Montreal, I felt the Canadians actually had a worried look to their play, but they stuck to their game plan and it worked out for them. But damm we need more of that if he wants to win a Cup here. Him and G need to get their "Mitts" dirty....
  10. There was a shift where JVR actually looked like his smarts and interests where in sync, like Jimmy Neutron. It was just that one shift(think game 5?), but when he took the puck in with authority against Montreal, it brought back a flashback of "oh what do we have here tonight...a statement!" Just for that split second he looked engaged, determined and angry.
  11. Great win, N.AK almost got the hatty, Ghost seemed like he might stick in the lineup. Hope Sanheim's hand is ok. Maybe the league will look at that cause to injure. Another site to look at the games is, search "sports surge". Select your sport and enjoy the game.
  12. In regards to Elliot starting, I think AV wants him to psychologically and tactically of been exposed a game as a backup to have him, back up to speed in a "real" game(no preseason games available), as AV has the luxury of doing, as he might bring in Friedman and others in one of the remaining games so that, they at least "played" a real game before throwing them out to the wolves per se...psychologically and physically. It's like trying out your spare tire before the long road trip, you know the thing can hold air and be drive-able if it comes to it.
  13. What a great shot in the arm, thanks for posting.
  14. When Oscar and Patrick come back next year, what is the roster gonna be like with Sandin in the fold. Pitlick, Frost, Raffle and Grant?
  15. As long as you put your shopping carts in the designated "Spot" your A - OK!
  16. Bro no worries no egos here, it's like the left hand saying sorry to the right hand for getting to the nose first to scratch it before the right hand was able to. Eight In A Row! ...Tied in points for first place...
  17. I remember that Boston series and felt a little better not having Lindros because this young second overall pick would be someone who could although not be the complete package would at least show stages of dominance....unfortunately that hasn't fully materialize and was saddened at the outcome and hoping his trade would bring the Erasor to that aspect to our team. Neither players did and JVR is back and playing a lot better, but doesn't seem to want to get his paws wet at times. If he played like a tiger the fans would probably fall in love with him. But he chose to play like a quail in the beginning. But full disclosure he has been playing a lot better and his passing is pretty on point. The player has talent. Maybe it was his upbringing, But it's OK to show some anger is what I would tell him. As long as it's directed in a positive manner. Claim your space and concede when it's just not there.
  18. Feel free to add to it and put a twist to the base wagon....(maybe being pulled by a Lumina? Add a case of Halibut?
  19. What I would of liked, would of been, to have Farabee, Frost and N. AK playing as a line in the AHL for at least half a year in the beginning of the first half of the season so they could build chemistry. Bringing them up at the same time about now would of done wonders I believe if they had spent time together before. But of course putting three rookies on the same line would of been risky as a coach, but piecing it together next season is doable.
  20. Maybe a line of Farabee Frost and N.AK as a third line could be interesting. But 100 percent agree N.AK goes to the right places. It is very frustrating when he skates out to the hunt ready to make something happen and I see that they don't seem to have the vision to pass it out to him when clearly he has an edge out to break out down the ice, I've seen it countless of times and it is frustrating, I think his linemates don't have the vision to go along with what he's trying to start off on. I think Frost has the high IQ to see it as well and Farabee is right there as well. The good news is that I think his linemates are now starting to catch sight of him and processing that he is a valid option to pass it to. Every goal he's scored it seems like it was a heads up play by his team mate to see him skating to the danger zone. He also seems to create his own scoring chances as well.
  21. Though I think it's too early to even whisper it, but I might see shadows of Grant shifting and wouldn't be startled to see him make a play as one of my beloved...
