  1. A new Era as we are loosing, the Inspectors are giving us a failing grade, though we are getting new suits.

This Melting Pot Soup, of new alumni's, getting hired could be our Teams way out of this pollution we are stuck in.

Hopefully our players can weather this storm and not all end up leaving for greener pastures.

This pollution needs to end in our organization. "A new era" has to get it right or we loose our Barbaloots.

  2. Both sides of this coin are very valid, and legitimate concerns and hope fors'.

On the one hand we are hiring a bunch of non proven advisors to join an organization, that might end up being yes men. I don't see that they will - but when your green you tend to say yes due to non-experience than to rebuttal a different direction until you get your feet more grounded in the skill sets or responsibilities of your position, and there is were problems can arise, that no one said, "Hit the brakes on that move!"

On a positive note, we are bringing intelligent advisors that have seen different roads in the game of Hockey and can input their experience on how they saw improvements or ways in direction on how other operations were done. That would be the optimistic side of this and a more modern approach to collective management as a hive. Management styles sometimes turn cyclical.

We will just have to wait and see, and the concern also is, will upper management relieve the new hire of their duties when it's not working out or bump them up to Team President Advisors.

There are still 5 vacant spot for Team President Advisors that might/need to be filled soon....🫗🔥

  3. It's not just that Fletcher made bad trades, it's what also he gave away with the trades.

It's like if I was selling an extra car battery, I had in the trunk, I sweetened the deal by giving away my spare tire.

Then on another deal selling my extra alternator, giving away my emergency portable scissor carjack with the lug-nut wrench, since I'm not using those things right now, while I'm driving down the street. They don't matter right now....

I find context to be important when communicating.

In spite of all the technology available, nuance and context are casualties of the information age.

One would think with more tech and therefore time; folks would take the opportunity to gather significant information about the things they're talking about.

That doesn't seem to happen too often and so here we are in the year of our lord 2023 a bunch of monkeys throwing crap at each other from our well staked out turf.

The quote where Tortorella was praising James had to do with his professionalism and preparation. He noted James wouldn't be playing much, but then praised him for continuing to be a positive influence and mentor to the young players both in practice and on the bench where he found his ass stapled.

It was a grownup kindness that Torts was showing JvR, who was really disappointed he wasn't traded but didn't let that affect his demeanor around the club.

How this got translated to Torts wanting to keep JvR I'll never know.

I'm glad you caught the nuance, though to me it seemed like normal communication and Torts didn't need to espouse any further claration to throw his praise on how he saw JVR's professionalism and what it means to be a professional in how you carry yourself day to day on and off the ice.

Are Young Pups of Philly need those role models...

  5. Columbus does seem to be more in the win now, with the aggressive stance in getting Johnny G.

Would trading Provy and Hayes be the tipping point?

Though many scratch their head on Hayes, he is talented and can hold on to the puck and protect it, he just isn't into, what a Center should be into, and that is defensively responsible.

Columbus with Provorov on the back end with their #1 Defensemen and Hayes and Gaudreau on first line dropping Sean to center the second line.

I'm not necessarily a fan of trading Provy, but if he wants to go then like I said, I heard that things are pushing in the front office to make asset acquisitions, Provy and maybe getting Hayes as well(with 50% salary retention) would grant us the 3rd overall pick.

Maybe Provy and Sanheim get it done instead.(That would catapult that team as contenders)

This statement from Hilferty has significant impact. It's not what he said directly, but the message behind it. To me it openly acknowledges the "ex-flyer" dynamic has been a problem. One that they are aware of. If I'm anyone of the life members of the Bobby-bunch:smallTM:, I take this as direct call out that they were, and are, the problem

I wonder if this was why Hexy shut the doors from Alum that were trying to get in?

So far he has called a spade a spade.

    What I've asked for.

    Accountability.

    It should be for everyone.

    Top to bottom.

    No room for passengers!!!

I agree, it was all tongue in cheek, Torts will remind each one what we're fighting for.

He is the animal we never invite but the beast of burden that will continually plow thru to get things started.
