Fucale has top notch mechanics and technique. He is always square to the puck and plays pretty relaxed. He does have the tendency to let in a bad one now and again, but playing behind Halifax's offense, he is sometimes falling asleep down the other end while the Mooseheads are pouring the shots on the opposition. I would be very excited for the Flyers to land him.

I thought for sure he was rated in the first round. A better prospect than Subban and didn't he go in the first round?

@Digityman MacKinnon is a stronger skater and stronger overall physically, but he tries to do too much and I find he loses the puck trying to make fancy moves. That could be an age thing and a developmental thing. Drouin makes those moves all the time. It is like the game is in slow motion for him. He has a bit of a mean competitiveness streak and doesn't like losing the puck and will fight to get it back. It is just ridiculous what he does with the puck and how he moves around other players. He has some of the sickest puck control skills I have seen from anybody.

I have Season Tickets for the Halifax Mooseheads and have watched MacKinnon and Drouin over the last two seasons. I would take Drouin over MacKinnon. That is my personal preference.

Two words..Paul Gaustad...he was traded for a 1st rounder. We should be looking at something real good for Briere or Meszaros

Drouin 6 assists and MacKinnon 2 G 2 A in Mooseheads first playoff game win 11-1 over Saint John Sea Dogs last night.

I am falling on the grenade for this year and hoping we suck the rest of the year. We are obviously not winning the Cup this year, and this is a tremendous opportunity to add a stud player to our team. There will be a little asterisk next to this Season in the record books, being the "Strike" Season and I am sure whoever wins will have that win a bit tainted by the strike. I am here in Halifax watching the Mooseheads every game and watching Drouin and MacKinnon, and if we could get one of these guys, not to mention even Seth Jones, that would be tremendous. Even getting Nichushkin or Barkov would be amazing. I love my Flyers, but I am doing this tough love to benefit the future of my team.

Do we have any idea of what goalies would be available this Summer.? Are we thinking trade or Free agent? I don't think there is many goalies that would blow your socks off. I am thinking Bernier on LA would be attainable, but would cost us one of your young guys. What do u guys think?

I am in Nova Scotia, Canada, and my NBC says it is showing the Flyers and they are not. Even my PPV says Pittsburgh at Philadelphia, but it is show LA......I am extremely pissed off.

Actually....MacDonald has been kick'n around for a while so he is not young by any means. Had good stats with Detroit.

We should make a trade for back-up goalie Joey MacDonald who is with the Red Wings. He is asking for a trade because the Wings have another back-up. He is a pretty solid back-up and would be better then Leighton. As an aside. Back in Junior with the Halifax Mooseheads in the Q, he was let go because the Mooseheads had Pascal Leclaire and Alexei Volkov and he was the odd-man out. MacDonald went to the OHL and became and all-star. Anybody ever here of Volkov? And Leclaire is no longer on anyone's radar.

@idahophilly Yes. He was mentioned before in another thread. I think he would be good. I am just thinking of someone to replace Jagr's goals. I think he would a pretty good fit.

Sorry to sound negative, but isn't a contract extension usually the start of bad luck for the coach. Obviously I hope this doesn't happen in Laviolette's case.

@pags569 Not trying to be smart or anything, but I thought that saying was the opposite. A good defense makes a good offense. I could be wrong though.

@AndyS Andy, Andy, Andy.....Voracek is not a top line offensive player?? How many games have u watched last year?? You don't see the skill and hockey sense he has?? I have been watching him since his QMJHL days and..yeah...I think he may be a little offensive.

@AndyS I always wanted to use this phrase in a sentence, but never had the opportunity. It must be BITTER-SWEET for Weber. Got is money, but stuck in Nashville. I think the money has him feeling a bit sweet rather than bitter.
