This is precisely why I think he's a ...THE .... cancer. He thinks he's the man. He's the talent. All things should revolve around him and how dare a coach call him out.
He needs to be gone. You can't rebuild, retool or repair, around a pariah
I get you, but we are making our evaluations from a position of a one sided lens. We look at Myers and determine what we think he's capable of,often dismissing what he does do. The flyers, specifically the coaches, are in a better position to determine what Myers can, and can not do. Maybe they already know, regardless of what his skill set is, what he what kind of player he will be.
We already know what Ellis is. He's proven it
Sure, but I dont really equate that to wear and tear. Injuries happen, and players can recover.
We are prolly discussing semantics. For me, wear and tear results in tired legs, low minutes, decreased skill, you know, Claude Giroux
I'm reading that jake and a pick ( 2nd round prolly) to Seattle, after they take tarasenko. Then Seattle will pick hagg from expansion list.
Not sure why they would take hagg over Ghost, but "ok"
@Zzeke
I dont see the Flyers going after a big FA signings. That puts all the eggs in one basket. I suspect moves that add another 2 pair guy, and they still need offensive help. I wonder what thier faith is in guys like Frost and Allison
Flytcher did a good job here. I had a feeling a trade would happen before the ED. We got a great player for two unknown commodities. If the Flyers passed on this, and Myers and Patrick stayed the same, they would be bashed for another decade. Whats the real downside, that either turn out to be really good? Ok, so what. If Patrick dies, that tells me what he was here was because he didn't want to be here. That's not a player I want.
I think this is the first domino in a rebuild. And a really good one. I also think we might see another move to bring in a second d-man, and we will see a deal to move Jake out to Seattle. We will probably lose the 1st round pick. So be it. Im excited to see what comes next
I was reading all the posts and was going to make this same comment to you. You have been advocating for this. Good call on your part
I like the move. And I seriously hope they protect NAK now
I dunno.....
any chance Eichel is just a product of playing in Buffalo? Maybe he makes a move to another team and he becomes what he was supposed to be
