  1. When I heard this a day or two ago, I honestly thought it was a joke. Turns out it's a sick joke and the franchise and its fans are the punchline. This is simply idiotic. Philly fans deserve better. Go Eagles!
  2. Pretty much describes anyone who's watched them the past five years.
  3. If someone will take Atkinson, trade him. I'll give you most of that group but suspect Allison has played his last in Orange & Black. I don't think in our draft position there's a clear BPA so I do agree draft for need. But in that range you're also probably 1-3 seasons out on the pick, so who knows?
  4. Sorry. It's been years since we made a mistake under the radoran login that I had to call it out to keep people off the scent.
  5. I mean, I would have predicted such a thing, but I would have been wrong since the team with the third highest (but biggest TV market) got the 1st overall.
  6. I take BPA regardless of position, but if that isn't clear then I go with your priority for sure. But if they were to move Konecny, then RW becomes a valid option. I'm not sure I agree with the reasoning in the article. I'm okay with more shoot first. You don't want a team of all shooters (or all playmakers who won't shoot) either, but I wouldn't not take someone because they shoot. If it's Benson vs. Perrault, I want Benson. If it's forward or a legit RHD, I'm going RHD.
  7. Agreed. Now we just need a second pick. This. 1000x this.
  8. I'm in that same space. I think if the geopolitical situation weren't a thing, there's no chance he's there at 7. I don't think the Flyers are in a place to take the risk. Someone further down will take the risk and could get well end up with one hell of a bargain. We're the wrong Philadelphia team to do it, I think.
  9. Yeah, it's what made him slide down a little. He was healthy by the draft, but still was a concern at the time. Chutcher skipped over him because he had skill and it was a smart pick. We can't have that!
  10. I swear mine isn't about the flyers. Everything you said is accurate. It's just year after year the team than wins the lottery is oddly what financially helps the league the most. The flyers get what they deserve. But both that and "it's fixed" can both be true (they don't have to be. I could be wrong. But they're doing very little to help fight the perception).
  11. I noticed that in real time as well. There is absolutely no doubt.
  12. It is. I'm unconcerned that the flyers didn't move up. I swear. But this is clearly the league deciding "we can't have that market suck." No one will ever convince me after the couple years of New York market teams getting "lucky" and now Chicago. It's rigged as hell and it's the ONLY reason we can't see the damn ping pong balls. It's simply utter crap.
  13. No one will ever convince me the damn thing isn't completely engineered by the league. If it wasn't, we'd see them draw the damn balls. Chicago. Never a doubt.
  14. Reinbacher would absolutely be my choice between the two. But drop back a few picks to do it and take the opportunity to add capital.
  15. If we don't win the lottery and don't move up, I'd almost like to see the Flyers trade back several slots to the 10-12 range and take either Reinbacher or Sandin-Pellikka, both RH defensemen. Pick up some extra draft capital or a prospect in the equation.
  16. Don't know if this was posted previously. https://www.pensburgh.com/2023/5/7/23714025/ranking-the-best-and-worst-spots-for-connor-bedard-nhl-draft-lottery 10. Philadelphia: The chief rivals can’t fall too far on this list from the Pens’ perspective. Bedard playing for John Tortorella, at least to start his career? Yeah that sounds like no fun. The Flyers have squandered everything they’ve touched in going on 50 years, let’s hope Bedard isn’t the next case that they somehow ruin. This organization could foul up a one-car funeral procession, there’s no good reason Bedard should be subjected to their assortment of ineptitude. The Flyers deserve no good things or fortunate breaks like winning such a major lottery like this season. Let them win it in a future year when the next Nail Yakupov or Alex Daigle comes along
  17. I actually think they should give him the C. He's been the best player in terms of consistency over the last 3 years. Hands down. I'm all for it.
  18. This is fair. You won't see be crying if he's moved. Maybe I'm actually undervaluing him while trying to value him because I just don't believe we'll get the return value vs the "serviceable" value he represents staying. Sorry if you already wrote this elsewhere. What do you see as sensible return? I think it's likely higher at a deadline or as a throw-in with a pick to get a higher pick, maybe. What are you thinking?
  19. The weird thing about Gallant is that this seems to keep happening. The end was stunning in both Florida and Vegas. I don't know but what is it about him that keeps making front offices jettison an otherwise seemingly successful coach in each of the last three stops. It seems in Florida and New York it is the infatuation with the molester enabler. But it was Vegas, too, so I don't get it.
