Never a good thing to be making plans and projections based on whether you "like" a player. That's how a team trades a consistent 25-30 goal scorer for a run of the mill defenceman.

 

I like Oskar much more than JVR as a story. As a player he's got a lot more to prove.

 

It's not just about liking him better but I see Oskar as part of the future JVR can catch the next flight out of Philly for all I care.

 

Let's let Oskar get a chance to prove it.

 

We know what JVR is...we don't know what we have in Oskar yet.

 

And the fact they are both signed for two years but one is signed for half the price.

And we agree on giving that chance. It's just damned clear that they're not going to move Giroux to 2C and bump Brassard to 3C so the only thing we can reasonably do is wait until Hayes comes back and see what we can get out of a Lindblom-Brassard/Hayes-JVR third line.

Don't bother - the NSA (and others) is quite capable of tracking your location date (edit: the date too but I meant to type "data") even when the phone is off.

Maybe the top line can regain their chemistry they had before Oskar went on they were on fiya then but it also give the 2nd line a better center.

 

Not to knock on Brassard but Joel and Cam have played well I have to think Giroux is way more skill than Derrick.

 

Worth a try to get Oskar going I think.

 

Sorry. I would pass on doing this. Better to keep 2 lines rolling than mess with chemistry for one questionable player

Laughton brings more than just his career 0.3 pt/g. The stats don't tell the whole story, which of course you can say about every player - it just happens to be particularly true for grinders. They rarely make the HL reel or get interviewed after the game but teams need them just as much as the stars to win hockey games and PO rounds.
