Duhaime....got to prime real estate and made it count.
Would like to see that more often from him throughout the season. Getting to the right spots on the ice then finishing.

That statement works for the whole team. Tired of seeing all these passes from prime areas out to the side.

Soot from between the faceoff circles.

Tampa Bay second only to Montreal in attendance this season. Wild at 16,000 and some, not at capacity.

Thankfully, attendance for the Bolts hasn't really been a problem the last 10 years or so.
Of course, winning seasons and deep playoff runs help tons in that area. :)

Good structure would do that to even the most skilled of PP's.
As you know, that's something Minnesota usually has: Good defensive structure

I just wish their PP had equal success.

Well, yea...and that is where "finishing" would come in handy for the Wild.

I think the PP would improve if they had more player movement rather than puck movement.

Players in fairly static positions are easily defended.

Corey Perry finally does something useful for the Lightning...he drew a penalty.

Perry has been a massive disappointment for the Bolts.
He got young Fiala to hang on a bit too much though....some vintage Perry sneakiness that he hasn't utilized much this season so far for his new team.

Having that elusive 1C as the "bumper" on the PP would help too.

Especially with the ESP passing that Kaprizov does.... he needs someone other than Zuccarello who can anitipate him and be in the right areas of the ice during a PP, because far too often, Kap makes ultra skill passes WHILE he is in motion (there is your player movement), but not nearly enough teammates to be able to hang with him to capitalize on it.

Agreed, but with someone planted in the bumper position it really is hard to keep movemennt going.

I would like to see someone try something similar to the chicago bulls triangle offense from the 90's.

Is Darby in charge of the PP ?
If so, Or whoever is, We need some new blood there.
Same old plan for the last few years but now with newer players and more skilled, It sems to not be utilizing those guys.

Marion Gaborik recently retired (officially)....maybe he'd be interested in coaching and a PP coach position with his drafting team would be up his alley?

I give him credit for staying here as long as he did with such a defensive minded team.
Imagine his #'s if he'd been elsewhere. 😮
