Should the Flyers trade Tkachuk?

Why would Matthew Tkachuk want to be traded to Philadelphia?

What would the Flyers have that Calgary would want?

Should a team that just went 25-46-11 be trading for a guy who's due for a massive payday?

I'll stop asking questions and answer yours: no, I don't think the Flyers should (or even could) trade for him. The roster is (imo) bad enough that it warrants a rebuild, and not a re-tooling, and the Flyers need cheap young talent whose futures they control, not players whose qualifying offer is $9M with the salary going up from there. This isn't a situation where you could plug in a player of Tkachuk's quality, and all of a sudden you're a contender.

The Flyers have bigger fish to fry, imo.

I don't disagree with your reply, I'm hoping for a true rebuild but let's be honest with this Flyers Front Office being so ****ed up it wouldn't surprise me to see Fletcher do something stupid like trade for Tkachuk. That's why I asked the question.

The Flyers have entire shoals to fry.

Replace "Tkachuck" with "Gaudreau" and you're onto something.
