You need to move a RW who you moving??

You need to move a RW who you moving?? For countless reasons. In a package?

  1. 1. Who is the RW you move out?? Either for a salary dump or included in a trade for a contract out of town too. Or for depth elsewhere? Comment if you like.

Calgary fans must be going insane. Buffalo fans will be insane in the final if it's Eichel vs. Reinhart (not to mention Montour) the two "star" players they ditched for their umpteenth rebuild.

In fairness, the Flames had no desire to trade Tkachuk. For whatever reason (coach/climate/country) Matthew wanted out.

The Czechia prospect is actually doing well in Rochester by the way. Levi does look good and they got Tuch and a bunch of picks for Eichel and picks for Risto, they have a superb pipeline now no question.

Buffalo did OK on the return and fleeced Fletch but they've been wandering in the wilderness since I lived there 15 years ago.

The Flyers didn't embark on that path and don't need to.

They have a pretty good pipeline and need to add top line talent.

I'd try to get rid of anyone over 26 but entertain discussions on many.

Young prospects should be kept until they need to be moved.

The Devils and Rags are not a bad comparison but also they haven't won.

Build resources and cap space and be able to make a splash when the opportunity presents itself and is right.

We'll see once the Cup is lifted where they go.

Did you destroy both franchises by moving back?

🤔

Absolutely, and if they didn't trade him when they did they'd have lost him to free agency for nothing later. They did the best they could, but not many people actually thought Tkachuk was THIS good.

Devils were near bottom for quite a while and won the lottery twice. Rags won the lottery twice. Players wanted, no demanded, to play in New York. Hard to compete with that.

Good drafting is the right path though. Not trading away your picks for overrated Finnish D men. etc.

True, and it's a matter of being a franchise players want to play for.

The Flyers tell themselves they're that because guys like Laughts, Coots, and Sanheim want to be here.

The question of whether they would have the roles and the contracts they have elsewhere never seems to come up

Nobody ever plotted to sign in Newark... 😃
