G4 is obviously a must-win for FL no way they take 3 straight.

Definitely a must to win G4.

Hockey can be a strange game, subject to whims of the gods and/or the psychological health of players in the clutch.

Florida in now 7-0 in playoff OT this campaign.  If they can be tied after regulation in the next 3 games, and then have Montour and Tkachuk and Verhaege be OT heroes, they’d win the series 4-2…

…AND surpass the OT prowess of the ‘93 Canadiens (who went 10-1 in playoff OT games) by dint of a perfect 10-0.  Now that would be out of this world.

I know, but it is fun to dream.

No disrespect to the Habs and other Original-6 teams, but I always find quite odd to compare records between a period where the League had 6 teams that used to play on frozen ponds with mammoth leather as protective gear and today's cap-era hockey with 32 teams, and make sure to compare apples with apples.

Like tennis, maybe all records history should start to a similar open-era period starting al least from the 1967 second expansion.

Who turned the channel after 3-0 VGK?

Well turn it BACK, knuckle-haids…these Cats have cut it to 3-2 and be scrounging mightily for more rats with 8+ minutes remaining.

Credit Adin Hill for a heck of a save for sure at the end of the game, but Matt Tkachuk had the game tying goal right there waiting for him and couldn't elevate the puck. The last two periods of that game were REALLY good.
