Kid were gassed after their 8:45 game this morning Foligno with a goal I see. He loves playing against the Jets. That's why I said Spurge is the CLOSEST we have....Spurge is what he is, while Faber certainly has the higher ceiling in that regard. Question of course, is WILL Faber become that? TropicalFruitGirl26 Posted December 31, 2023 Share Posted December 31, 2023 Looking back over the years, I've always felt the BEST defensive partner Jared Spurgeon ever had was Marco Scandella. Seems since Scandella was traded, both players have struggled to duplicate the offensive success they often found while playing together. Those guys really seemed to compliment each other just right, covering for deficiencies in the other guy's game. IMO, they were often greater together than the sum of their parts individually. Amazing how that works in hockey sometimes. Some players just click together and when separated, just can't seem to find that same wavelength with another player, regardless of how skilled or not either player may be.
