Howie58
Greetings: The roadshow concludes with the Blues as a mild favorite (-120): https://sportsbook.fanduel.com/ice-hockey/nhl---matches/philadelphia-flyers-@-st.-louis-blues-32937855 These teams are virtual carbon copies statistically, with a nod to the Flyers on defense: https://www.nhl.com/gamecenter/phi-vs-stl/2024/01/15/2023020679 I was surprised to see how well we've done against our fellow Western Conference expansion fellow, even on the road: https://flyershistory.com/cgi-bin/opponent.cgi?St.Louis_Blues The Blues were under .500 when they dismissed Berube, so things are better under Bannister. Does our mojo continue?

Even if Couturier and Drysdale are still out the Flyers should give them a good fight. But Philly sports fans will probably be watching the Eagles lose tomorrow night. What a crazy season. With 52 points the Flyers are literally a top 10 team now. True they’re 10th but only 1 point behind Vegas and Carolina for 7th in the league. Crazy.
Howie58
It's interesting that the O and B are still underdogs in this game. Granted, the Blues are playing better hockey since Berube's departure. But you'd reckon that our performance of late would mean otherwise. Perhaps the bookies still need convincing (and remember, Torts said wait until the end of January before assessment). I have no problem playing as underdog. It's the reality that against certain teams, my take says we should be favored. FYI, it looks like Hart versus Binnington. His numbers are quite good in six starts against us--2.32 GAA and a .915 save percentage: https://www.statmuse.com/nhl/ask/jordan-binnington-record-vs-flyers Edited January 15 by Howie58

GratefulFlyers
Always good to get the 1st one …. Poehling with another real smart play, put it on net from that angle if the goalie can’t catch it …he’s in trouble if there’s anyone coming down the weak side…can’t remember the last time Laughton potted one good work one-timing that rebound. GratefulFlyers
Way to go Poehling! Sweet hands… under 10secs to go…the perfect answer. Great to see him get rewarded with a big goal.

hmc687
6 hours ago, OccamsRazor said: The whole Eagles staff needs to be fired. Its really that simple. You don't go 1-6 down the stretch against non-playoff teams with runner MVP from last season, a top 5 WR w a top 5 1-2 WR tandem in the league, an experienced and competent O-line, and an elite TE. Sirianni looks like a high school coach out there...and, love him or hate him, the greatest coach in NFL history is a FA...Eagles should be looking his way cause we already have the tools, just need the system/scheme. 1
