hf101
I thought this was one of the coolest moments of the draft.Devils did not have a selection in the final 30 picks. General manager Lou Lamoriello worked some magic already having dealt the No. 9 overall pick to the Vancouver Canucks for Cory Schneider, so to cap off the day, he made a dream come true for his franchise player.Goaltender Martin Brodeur's son, Anthony, was still sitting in the Prudential Center stands undrafted, so Lamoriello made a trade with the Los Angeles Kings to get into the seventh round and the 208th overall pick announcement made for a memorable father/son moment:http://video.nhl.com...bed-share-videosource
jammer2
@hf101 I was saying the same thing. Very classy of Lou to select Marty's kid. Very, very cool.

canoli
wow that's a great moment - and thanks for posting about it - hadn't heard till now. Yeah Lou takes a lot of ____ for the way his Devils have changed the game but nobody ever questioned his class.
hf101
@canoliya know, after re-reading that, puckdaddy didn't mention that it was a rather classy move by Hextall also.
canoli
good point, that's right - come to think of it. Probably no reason other than good will / having class for Hexy to agree. Hard to know since the story doesn't say what Lou gave the Kings.
