Not even old enough to vote yet in Canada. And yet, Carter Verhaeghe has been impressing at Toronto Maple Leafs prospects camp. As Kevin McGran of the Toronto Star reported on Friday, Verhaeghe scored three times, including once in a shootout, in scrimmages on Thursday. fishbulb
Seems like a smart 3rd round pick.... who did we take again???? A rinaldo clone who was the 152nd ranked North-American skater???
jammer2
@radoran Saw that in yesterdays Toronto Sun, the Leafs seem to be quite high on the kid. His junior team is losing Ryan Strome to graduation, thus mr.Verhague will be left with top line minutes and top pp time. They figure him to be a top 10 scorer in the OHL, certinaly has the tools and the team to get him there it looks like.

Commander Clueless
I liked the Verhaeghe pick when I researched it a bit. Good to hear he's impressing...we could really use a diamond in the rough type pickup here in Leafland - particularily at the center ice position.
