jammer2
@J0e Th0rnton Yep, I could see him being useful to the Preds, and about 8 other teams.
hf101
Does anyone else think the preds would be a good fit for him? They have the cap space. Legwand's contract is up at the end of this season. And they need a boost at forward.True, But they just signed Cullen for two years. At center they are reasonably deep for next year, as they have Legwand, Fisher, Cullen, Gaustad, and Smith. I think maybe they need a winger more.
bags2
At this point I'm shocked no one has signed him to a one year deal. I know he had a bad season and he ripped his coach. But the guy is a top 6 forward who plays a solid two way game. If he wanted to go play in the KHL he would have already signed. At this point whoever gets him they'll probably get him for a bargain.

Well there you go. Grabovski has agreed to a one year deal with the Caps as per multiple reports.
jammer2
@bags2 Congrats on winning the Grabo sweepstakes!! He's gonna be a really nice addition to the Caps. Not looking forward to his defensive prowess working against my Flyers 5 or 6 times a year.
bags2
Very happy with the signing, 3 mil for 1 year is perfect. Really hope he returns to form in D.C.
JR Ewing
Pretty nice deal for the Caps. Grabovski has a VERY good chance of outperforming the salary hit and provide a value contract. JR
Polaris922
Might make up some for the loss of Rubiero...
jammer2
The Caps just became a tougher team to play against. They lose a bit of offense in Ribero, but that is off set with the defense of Grabo. Plus, there is a real good chance that Grabo can get back to the 20 goal mark, and should be on the top pk unit. Not gonna be fun having this guy in our division. nothingbeatshockey
Caps got our first look at Grabo last night vs Boston. Was not a Ribeiro fan, depsit ehis production, b/c he was asking more than the Caps could afford. Grabo seems at first blush to be a more than dequate substitute, though time will tell.
