flyercanuck
Phantoms coach seems to think Laughton won't last in the A for much longer... http://www.hockeysfuture.com/articles/113931/phantoms-rookie-laughton-off-to-strong-start-in-2014-15/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=phantoms-rookie-laughton-off-to-strong-start-in-2014-
AJgoal
Good article, FC. More than the scoring, I was glad to see this quote: "“That’s the right kind of attitude,” Murray said, adding, “he understands why he’s here in the AHL and that’s to improve his hockey game. He hasn’t let up on the hard work. He hasn’t let up with his good attitude. It’s been all professionalism every day, coming in to do the right things and learn. It’s paying off for him.”
jammer2
Laughton is the type of guy you want to go to war with, and that is a great way to describe the NHL playoffs. When you look down the bench and know the guys there will give every ounce of energy in their body to the cause, it gives you that extra little push. Everyone wants to match the intensity shown.....adding guys like Scott makes everyone else better.
flyercanuck
@AJgoal Ya, i like hearing that from an AHL coach. And it ties in with what hextall is preaching...you have to earn your spot on the team. You don't get it handed to you just because you're a first round pick. JackStraw
Hmm... thought I had posted this last night but it disappeared. Trying again... Anyways, I've watched all of the Phantoms games this season and I'd say Laughton generally looks like the most skilled player on the ice. I would be shocked if he isn't with the Flyers some time this season.
