JackStraw
http://www.philly.com/philly/blogs/sports/flyers/071315-Flyers-name-Scott-Gordon-as-head-coach-of-Lehigh-Valley-Phantoms.html Don't really know anything about him. Used to coach the Islanders and was assistant to Wilson (ugh) in Tronno.
flyercanuck
Meh. Better than Cote. Hopefully he's on the exact same page as Hakstol.
murraycraven
at least there are no Flyers connections here.... definitely a "meh" signing though.
radoran
Someone needs to update Gordon's Wikipedia page - it doesn't show any time playing with the Flyers.
jammer2
I just *knew* it. A AHL head coach with previous NHL experience with no ties to the Flyer org....called it weeks ago. I'm actually shocked Cote was hired as Asst, but he can't do much harm in that role. I like the idea Gorden is a former NHL goalie, someone else to help out Stolarz and the 3 goalies we just drafted....I don't think this is by chance, they wanted experience AND someone who can teach the goalies.....as far as I know, the Flyers only have one goalie expert for the org, so his time will be taken up with the Flyers and working with Mase and Neuvirth. I'm happy with this signing, although I must admit, I don't know much about him, but on the surface...it looks promising.
