flyercanuck
He's played 50 games. He has 18 goals. The league leader has played 54 games. The guy in 2nd has played 27. Then 52/56/30/50/34/47. Looks like he missed a handful of games...like everyone else. It looks more like he came back to reality. I don't see the Phantom games, but that's what it appears to be. And for a guy like Straka (who isn't known for his two way play) if he ain't scoring....I think he'd already know what Hakstols doghouse is all about. From what i've read just like Coots he isn't fully healthy looks to be lingering with something. So just like Coots he may not be healthy again the rest of the season. flyercanuck
Hopefully that's it. He was having a better season than previous. And he IS from Plzen, so he has that going for him.

According to head coach Scott Gordon after practice today, Petr Straka is going to be out awhile. Straka had blocked a shot in the third period of January 3rd’s game up in Portland and despite returning the following week for two games, he’s now expected to be out long term. http://highlandparkhockey.blogspot.com/2016/01/wednesdays-phantoms-practice-update-120.html

Yeah, until last night's debacle in Binghamton he hadn't scored a goal since his injury. He had been putting up a few assists but at his age in the minor leagues he should be showing much more if he intends to play in the Big Show. The one "oldtimer" who has shown a lot of improvement this year has been Mark Alt. But alas, he is hurt now too. I've been to every Phantoms' home game and a dozen road games and they never fail to underwhelm.

And Michael Parks shoulder be back recovered from injury. So that will help....especially Sanheim they have missed a guy like Ghost on the team who can really move the puck and QB the PP.
