Here am I! Here am I! It's not too hard to beat the Nucks no matter how strong they come out in the 1st period, they just can't play a whole 60 mins.... By the 3rd period, it was just shooting practise for the Hawks....hopeless when the Hawks are set up in our zone like it's a PP & yet it's actually OUR power play! 'Nuff said! I'm certainly not holding my breath that we'll even make the 1st round of playoffs....Hank is out right now & Santorelli, (the 1 of our few goal scorers) will be out after his operation for 5 months!! And the hits just keep onnn comin'!! :wacko:

It seemed a tight game at first, surprising, not many shots on either end for most of the 1st I think. But then, KA-POW! Here come da Hawks! Sharpie almost got the hat-trick! Hit the post. Dunno what Schneids was thinking there! Imo, he really isn't a match for the Hawks, he's just not ready yet. Annnnd, his puck handling needs a little bit of work..haha. Hawkie, how about the least number of shots allowed by Hawks in a game this season-- 12 shots allowed from NJ! 2nd lowest S/A was Oct vs Tampa I think with 15 shots allowed. Unreal! I liked Sharpie's post-game interview, he's a cool dude.

Hmm, it will be interesting if Schneids is in goal for NJ & see how he fares against the Hawks. :unsure:

Haha, who does he think the Nucks are, the Leafs? Lol! Yah, I was also most surprised that the top shooters for the Hawks couldn't capitalize on the shoot out! (& I still have no clue why on earth Torts would continue to put the Sedins in the shootout?! That just ain't gonna happen!) :unsure: So big bad Byfuglien of the Jets made a dirty fly-by on Lu tonite, dragging his right leg out sideways, & Lu seemed to have injured his groin (again!) & left the ice. So Lack played most of the game & did very well again. Who knows now how long Lu will be out. Can't believe they allowed goaltender contact like that without penalty or the League looking at it. It was so obvious.

Yah I also can't believe how good Jagr still is either, imagine the level of conditioning in order to keep up! He can come out of nowhere & still work the magic. Ovy with his 30th? That is un-bloody-believable! Esp when so many are still on just their 6th & 7th goals right now...lol. This match-up was a real upset in our Pick 'Em tonite, 99% of us chose the Caps for the win!

Yah, I woulda almost bet money on this one that we woulda lost! Plus it was our 2nd nite of back-to-back games after a tough one vs Stars, we were looking pretty slow & tired in the 1st period against you. And after 2-0, I thought, OK here comes the slaughter!! Then by some Christmas miracle, we got our 2nd wind & found our legs in the 2nd per. It's weird, we can't beat teams like the Wild & the Stars (not that they're bad teams), but we slaughter the likes of the Bruins & win the best team in the league, the Hawks?? Talk about schizoid...lol. Yah, I was super happy for Lack that he got the start (shows trust from Torts) & that he played so well & didn't fold under the pressure from the Hawks, it was really his 1st 'big' game against a monster team. He's a really good guy that deserves it. One of my fave players on our team. I don't know if you're aware, but he had some obstacles to overcome recently too, he had major hip surgery during last spring or so, & the fans were really unsure if he'd recover/rehab in time to be a decent back-up for Lu when the season started...whew, it was touch & go there for a bit for us fans! (Esp when we didn't know if Lu was gonna stay with us or what? All that drama!) So all the more, it's a very sweet success story. So are you gonna get razzed by your boss etc on Monday? lol. (Remember the duct tape trick!)

Wow, unbelievable! Quite a few surprises: 1) Kassian actually scored! 2) We shut down the Hawks' PP! (ending their 11?- game PP goal streak!) ....this was 1 of the most exciting things to watch tonite...the 'strength against strength'....Hawks' 3rd in PP vs Nucks' 1st in PK! and 3) WE ACTUALLY WON IN THE SHOOTOUT?!! (So miracles do happen!) Good game Hawkie!! Next game against you, at home for us, Jan 29th!

Congrats Hawkie...again!! I think I fell asleep so didn't catch much of the game, but I think from what I caught, the Preds were looking good early on. Now...(tremble )....time to serve up 1 ca-NUCKLE sandwich (& I don't mean that in a good way!)...it's feeding frenzy time for the Hawks!!

Congrats Hawkie! An amazing game, practically a clinic put on by the Hawks! It's a shame Raanta didn't get his shutout & LA scored at the very end, but you really had them looking lost for most of the game, the Hawks were just too quick for them.

This seems fair to me, I personally think it could have been more, like 20 games, but pretty fair. These sort of things are so debatable & controversial anyway.

Well since the Calif teams are our biggest rivals, I will be rooting for the Blues to definitely put up a good fight!! I think they'll be able to hold their own against them.....Now the Nucks, ehh, that's a different story!
