i can think of 16 right off the top of my head
I really liked Torts' comment. It was interesting: "The intangibles that Scotty brings sometimes outweighs what he does on the ice," Tortorella said. "He wore an 'A,' and I think that's for a reason. Other people didn't. It was only one 'A' [the first two games] and I thought he deserved that. So he brings a lot of that stuff to us."
Torts says alot of things about a lot of players. I like how he "thinks" there is a reason SL wore the "A". I would've thought the head coach would know
Good lord

That's an opinion written by someone paid to produce material. If Torts had said it, it would have weight. And if SL was the only one wearing a letter, who is this "group " the article references?
OK, enough.
First, that's just disingenuous. He was the only player to get a letter. And Torts did comment on his leadership: https://www.nhl.com/news/scott-laughton-emerges-as-leader-example-for-philadelphia-flyers/c-336450704

Second, how many teams meet whatever your criteria are for "solidly built"? Three? Four? Laughton could easily play 3rd line center and first unit PK on the vast majority of NHL teams. He's an upgrade in the top 6 on several. Because he's reliable.
We already know you don't really know that much about hockey, you don't have to constantly remind us.

Does he just need top 6 minutes that Detroit can't provide? He had some shots at top 6 and didn't deliver....but I still wonder if there is untapped potential there...
Dunno, it's not a team I follow much. Maybe @yave1964 could weigh in with some insight. 6th overall and so much excitement about him after he came over to play in Halifax.

Some Wing fan friends just texted me Zadina just put on waivers. Still young, reclamation project? Rather reclaim him than Poehling if I had the choice. ..
I just saw that. $1.85M

If someone wants to blow us away with a trade proposal for Hart, I'm all in. Moving him for something like a 2nd rounder just for the sake of it makes zero sense.
Bobrovsky says hello (a 2nd and two 4ths)

Your browser history suggests otherwise.
"GILFs laying seductively at the bottom of escalators waiting for the repairman" porn. Very niche.

...what evidence is there that verifies he's a good lockerroom guy? Last I checked none of us have actually been in the room. How would we know? I think this is a very convenient argument because it can't be proven or disproven...
Yeah, fair I guess.
At the same time, we can all be pretty certain that you would be terrible in the room.

I'm almost certain FC likes Laughton more than Pohleringberg
Quite a bit I'd say.
And he certainly likes Lauts more than, say, Polehamov

Like, at the same time?

I have seen him score a few nice goals, but mainly considered a bust in Montreal. Splitting hairs, but I give him vet minimum tops. Half mill on the cap can add up.
Yeah, it's a bit of a head scratcher. Good agent I guess. Maybe he's good in the room lol

It took awhile, but I think you finally found your calling (well other than pushing old ladies down escalators).

Geez...is this a 1 way deal?? 1.4 mill for 7 goals and 7 assists?? Is he a Selke candidate?? This is odd...
He was the 25th overall pick, so I'm guessing they think he's a late bloomer

I'm thrilled with the pick here and like the Bonk pick as well.
Otherwise, I'm still dying of laughter from the Hayes trade. Nobody could see that coming 5 years ago, lol.

Thanks man, I'm alive, if barely. Good to see y'all!

I agree with the article. I call this the Flyers "DNA Problem." It is time to move on. No Ray Shero, or other tie to the Stanley Cup Era Brigade.
I agree Howie. The thing I don't get is that the Flyer identity - tough to play against, hard working, team first etc. - exists *regardless* of whether people like Clarke are around or not. It's in the culture to a large extent, it's in the sign guy's signs, it's in fans' expectations, it's in the minds of the local media. You know what I mean? You don't lose it if Clarke is gone.

You can probably revamp the rest, but the wonky transmission is an inherent design flaw.....Alas, I fear you may be right. Nothing to be done but send it to the scrap heap I guess.

No doubt.
But there's also the irritation, like a terrible rash or a fungus that won't go away. Ya know?
