I just saw a highlights shot of Chara performing his record breaking slapshot. I may be out of date,but the last time I saw the slapshot competition,the players were stationary at the Blue line not skating in.(adding speed to the shot) Has this been changed?

Comparitively speaking the NFL is a lot more physical than the NHL.The NFL has better,more modern,practical protective equipment and much lower incidents of concussions.The NHL like NBA has a much more arbitrary officiating groups(Tim Donaghay come to mind) with less attention paid to mistakes(Leon Stickel). The NFL has cameras very stragegically placed,so that if a bad call is made,the whole world knows about it,a review system,plenty of officials on the field,etc.What happened to Sid Crosby, Lindros,etc,never would have happened If the NHL was a responsible,professional organization,instead of the "sh!t House Rats" that are currently at the wheel! Try the 21st century,you'll like it!!!!!!!

The Quigster doesn't think the Panthers are a poor team,I was pointing out the lack of an effort on the Flyer's part.Hence,the "Creampuff" reference.I was hoping after the Bruin's game "The guys would be Smokin",but I guess two games in a row would be too much to expect. Lets see if Winnipeg's guys push the boys around tuesday. Its time for Lauridsen to make an appearence,couldn't hurt!

The NHL doesn't seem to have as a number #1 priorty the safety of the players.Equipment development shouldn't be limited to a few companies.One more concussion is too many! I believe the NFL,a few years back,even got the NASA involved in helmet development,anybody who has ideas should be considered. Ed Snider and Comcast showed the NHL how to get TV money via acquisition of NBC.It time for the NHL old boys to get with the program,if they want to be a real professional sports contender,and put the players first! Brendan Shanahan is a prime example of the buddy system,he is part of the problem. The NHL is shooting itself in the foot by having non-independent management (old hockey players) making decisions at all levels.These guys are all way backers and me firsters! Time to join the 21st century!!!!!

The league has to get equitable when dispensing punishment,10 game minimum would get a lot of attention.This should be applied to all teams not just the Flyers! Shelley's last suspension was total BS by Shannahan,who would be better suited as a Zamboni operator than jailer. Campbell's bitch!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Look Guys,having Bryzo in net is like driving a bus down the Schukil in reverse with no steering wheel. You might get there,but don't count on it. No hockey team is sucessful with a piss poor goalie in net.It inhibits the entire team,looking over their shoulder,wondering about the uncertainly of "Merlin" the goalie!

Anybody who makes 5 mil a year for lacing on a pair of skates ain't too dumb! I didn't want to tell you guys,but like Homer,Jeff Carter is a complete mutant!(this is no reflection on any of the current posters) Both are incurable!!!!

Carter has all skills to be a top NHL forward,he just won't use them.He is a big skinny guy,who wants to stay that way,but at 5 mil+ a year it works for him. He lacks enthusiasm for any part of the game except when has the puck,so the best thing we can do is wish him and get back to ways of getting Bryzo on the next space shuttle! Marty Biron wasn't so bad!

Has Homer had any more BIKE accidents? Has he recovered 100%?

Goals against should be judged objectively, any discussion here about goals against has to pinpoint the number cause of this black hole phenomena.Before I would fault any of the "D" guys you have to say BRYZO is the number one cause of this ga diaease. This team need a real goalie.Bobbo caved when the team needed him most(I've heard all excuses,so spare me!)and Bryzo,if he was going to do it,he would have by now! So I would suggest before we give poor Shea Webber a nervous breakdown,get a reliable "G" man in net first!!!!

How about some French goalies? The Russians seem to cave at the worst possible moment.

One thing we now know about Thomas in he is an international ScumBag and its probably genetic. Nothing a "D" cell barrage wouldn't clear up! Ask Dave Parker. Hows your head Dave? Bumpy?

Do the Flyers have any Juniors teams? How come we in the states never get to see any broadcast of these games? Or do we on an obscure source.

We'll take it,Lavi has the guys back in the creampuff mode. I knew the physical stuff wouldn't last,Lavi neutered "em". Bobbo looked great,considering tha lack of effort by the rest of the team. With Pronger the Flyers had the best defenseman in the league. No Cup! Bobby Orr with Bryzo in goal wouldn't get the Flyers a cup. Cooter is the best thing to come along in a long time,Homer need to keep all first round picks! Webber or Suter haven't done it for the Preds and the won't do it for the Flyers!!!!!!!!

Sundays game SHOULD serve as reminder to Homer the total difference a few legitimate "Bad Asses" can make in the outcome of a game.I'd like to see Lauridsen park himself in front of the Flyers goal. The look on the Bruins faces is something missing from the Flyer's game for a long time.Freddie Shero would have been proud. Intimidation works! With the exception of Bryzo's shoot- out debacle(although he did deliver a punch in regulation) this was a great game. Hopefully we will see more of the same in Miami.

Most posters here are dying to get one of these guys,well if they are so good why aren't the Preds leading the NHL. No matter who the Preds have:Parent,Hamhuis,Timmonen,Hartnell,Forsberg they never go anywhere in post season,except on vacation. Now if they want to swap Bryzo for Rinne that might some thing to consider.
