  2. It would not have taken much for this team to have beaten a Flyers team that did a lot of things to give us the game. We didn't deserve the point we got, nor two. If Dean stayed quiet for both intermissions, it would be pretty damning IMO. Pathetic effort.
  3. Wild being too cute with the puck, especially in the offensive zone. Flyers are giving us opportunities. Only player that seems to be dialed in tonight for the Wild is Fleury.
  4. Minnesota have mostly sleepwalked through two periods against Philadelphia. Wild playing like a team that's tired and going through the motions.

  6. Boldy!!! Improbable set up with a shot off the post being the outlet to give him just enough room and time for a chance of his own. 2-1 Wild win! Big two points there!
  7. There have been lots of tie ups near the net tonight. Good thing it didn't hurt them.
  8. You could just sense that one coming. Looks like Gustavsson may have slipped a bit in his crease and he couldn't push across. A little under 8 minutes left. Building back alive...
  9. I agree. And Evason is giving them full shifts when they're out there. They remind me a lot of the Islanders old 4th line of Matt Martin, Casey Cizikas and Cal Clutterbuck. Just a pain to play against.
  10. Shaw! Great persistence by the 4th line to just keep working before having a chance from in close. Devils certainly swarming, but so far we're sweeping away dangerous pucks when we have to.
  11. He probably does...big opportunity to earn a point or more. I haven't dropped by a game day thread in ages. So far I think the Wild have played within their strengths.
  12. The most lost player on the ice for the Wild is Mats Zuccarello. He's almost non-existent without #97. Marcus Johansson has been probably our most dangerous player tonight.
  13. 0-0 after two...big surprise. Although someone may want to check the crowd, to see if they're still awake.
  14. Kind of expected with two teams that are near the top of the league defensively. Its probably more of a test for us than it is for them.
  15. Not a lot of open ice out there. Evason must be pretty happy with his 4th line because he let Shaw, Dewar and Reaves stay out there for their normal shift consistently. Good game so far.

  19. As easy it is to throw shade at Fenton, he also did draft some decent players. Filip Johansson was a big miss, but beyond that he did ok from the draft table. The Fiala for Granlund trade was an upgrade. It wasn't Fenton's fault we couldn't keep him, but he gave the team perhaps its best scoring talent not named Kaprizov or Gaborik. I understand the point of this thread is to throw shade at Fletcher and it will be interesting to see if he lands somewhere else. I can't imagine as a team's GM, but assistant GM perhaps. He wasn't afraid to make a deal, but at times his impulses really came back to bite him.
  20. The best part...like 2 minutes after I tease you guys about Fletcher, he gets the axe. Have a nice day!
  21. I kind of wondered why there wasn't at least a penalty on the play. Logan Stanley sort of just fell right on top of him. Kaprizov being out will certainly test the team's depth and we'll learn a lot in the next few games. Not that its a silver lining, but having a little time off can give them a chance to try to figure some things out, line-wise etc.
  22. Happy Birthday ClusterChuck. Does any Wild fan really feel bad for the Flyers for still having Chuck Fletcher? Nope.
  23. Here is Episode #5: The Swedish connection. This time Theresa @MNSOTA hosts the show, talk about all of the Wild's moves at the trade deadline. Enjoy!
  24. I am just glad Kaprizov realized he wasn't going to get much help so he just took the initiative himself. Seeing him attempt to feed pucks to guys like Dumba was just painful. Boldy has sat at 16 goals a really long time. Still, they should not have let a game reach overtime against a last place team like Columbus.
