  1. Could have been worse, like "who did the shopping, the laundry, diapers changing and getting up 4 times last night? Mummy again... Hope your little vacation goes well..." Like, what my girlfriend would have written to me
  2. Thompson was traded to the Flyers prior to this game, right ?
  3. The Stars are dead last in the league in shooting percentage and scoring chances success, even behind the Dead Wings. If they continue to be unable to capitalize on the very few real scoring chances they have and play with zero urgency, this series might be ended on Sunday. The only players capable to bring some speed and skill have famelic TOI, the scoring leader is the least used forward. I know that in the playoffs it's defense first, but if you are not able to score goals and take the lead, there's no way you can go through it.
  4. I forgot that one: Goalies: Defense: Offense: Special teams (PP/PK): Coaching: Mental: Experience: Robustness: Depth:

  9. The Canes got smoked on that OT goal. And I wonder where Mrazek was going with his move...
  10. If the trend of multiple OTs continues, the second round will be scheduled in november.
  11. The only asterisk I'd put is next to the eventual winner that had almost no chance to qualify for the postseason before this mess, like Montréal or Chicago.
  12. Do you know if they export it out of MB and if it's possible to find it elsewhere in Canada ?
  13. If it was only up to me, I'd propose a new challenge for Tallon...
  14. Buffalo will go back to their historic royal blue scheme, dropping the navy blue that didn't make any sense. Next teams that should do the same: Oilers and St-Louis with its original powder blue.
  15. Holy sh!t, a real ice hockey game. I haven't seen that the last couple of months.
  16. @pilldoc It's because I had to put a Habs logo somewhere For the rest you're totally right, numbers don't lie. As of today, Philly is a step ahead in overall goaltending. Price is one of the most overrated goalie in the league IMO, but I've seen him steal games so often, that's this aspect I wanted to highlight.

  19. I mean by that, having players able to make a significant impact on that aspect. Calgary have for instance M. Tkatchuk and Lucic who can make some damages and hurt the Stars. On the other hand, I don't see any Stars players filling up that role (Benn used to be a so-called power forward back in his prime years but he became a non-factor), making the team way softer than the Flames.
  20. Edit: for a quick résumé: Goalies: Defense: Offense: Special teams (PP/PK): Coaching: Mental: Experience: Robustness: Depth:
  21. This series is the Eastern equivalent to the Stars-Flames series in the west.
  22. Stars had an 8-game losing streak (4 times scoreless...) before winning against a Blues team that was not concerned at all, in a game that was like a nice soft preseason warm-up exhibition. Besides the no-offense, the overall attitude doesn't look good, they don't play with the required intensity and urgency they claim to play. A guy like Radulov works 100% with emotion and he's totally lit off, he's not even pissed off like he was at the season starts. Coaching is also questionable, Bowness continues with constant lines shuffling in a total defensive mindset that puts speed guys like Hintz and Gurianov always on the breaks. Lats game, Pavelski was put on the blue line on the PP because he insists on putting him and Been on the first unit, which is a total non-sense. Stars haven't netted a PP goal since the restart. Finally, depth. Calgary is way more balanced and have four lines that can contribute. To end on a good note, goalies are not an issue (well, not right now I'd say). Khudobin is a 1B goalie that has a great season so far. His numbers are pretty equal to Bishop's and I would even say that Khudobin is more in shape and "trustable" than Bishop at that moment and is able to steal games. Another good news is, Stars have the """""home ice advantage"""""
  23. Did someone really check the bottom of the balls? I mean, they showed them having all teams logos, great, But I'm sure the Rangers logo was behind any of them. Picking the Rangers is win-win-win of everybody: 1) For Lafrenière: he lands on a big market, big team which might be the best fit for him 2) For the Rangers: it was the team that was the most on rebuild mode. 3) For the League: One the biggest market in the league could significantly improve, Buttman avoids criticism and polemics if it would have been Pittsburgh, Edmonton or Toronto and this has more impact than if it were Winnipeg or Nashville.
  24. At the end it would be Winnipeg, so that everybody says "meh..."
