    Hextall no thanks. He was canned in Philly for telling guys how to lift and what to eat. Wild are a hot mess right now. We're told that Fiala and Donato are the future but they are blocked out of top six time by a millionaires. club of Parise, Zuccarello, Rask and Zucker.

    Boston wants Parise. Saw this coming. Not Bruins, maybe but Parise wants a cup. I can see New Jersey or Long Island cause Lou Lamarillo likes his game.

    Aberg has what scouts call high-end talent. In other words, he is an excellent skater, passer and shooter, and has slick hands. Unfortunately, just because the tools are there doesn't mean he knows how and when to use them.

    Gotta love Fletcher signing Baby Wilds OReilly, Fitzgerald to contracts, as well as Prosser, for his AHL Phantoms. And Chris Stewart to a Flyer tryout. Heard he's asking around for Stephane Vielleux's phone number ........

    So Sokolov never heard of Charles Atlas or Jack LaLaine. He's a big, smokin' Russian. Give him a couple preseason tryouts on a wing with Rask and Zuccarello...

    In Fenton's defense has steered from signing an animal, but hey, he's our animal, to "give our guys some room out there." Remember Zenon Konopka saying how he was going to make it safe for Parise to take his lunch at center ice.....?

    I like the addition of Zuccarello and Hartman, made possible by moving Granny, Nino and Coyle. Two concerns: size and scoring. Speed looks good. If the Wild can teach Granlund to skate it can do the same with Task. You can improve skating efficiency and speed.

    Wayne Simmonds....no thank you.....Pavelski....IDK, both seem like guys who could end up being buyouts within three years... Anders Lee ...yes but he's going to Chicago. Fenton should resist 401K contracts and instead target youth and speed up front, growing pains be damned...

    Boldy's passing proficiency is remarkable. He stood out in person at UND in exhibition vs. University of North Dakota Grand Forks this past winter.

    Unless something amazing happens this Wild team will not make the playoffs. Not near enough scoring potential and going for 1-0 and 2-1 wins doesn't work anymore. What could happen is Koivu and Staal at the trade deadline waiving NTCs for a shot at the Cup with a contender. (Remember Boston mercifully sending Ray Bourque to the Avalanche?) Parise and Suter could exercise that option as well. Don't get me wrong, I like those four players. But the window for hoisting Stanley's Cup gets smaller each season.

    I suspect he will settle for a prospect and flip of first round picks for Zucker. That moves us up to No. 10 maybe a pick with more upside ready to make an impact sooner....

    The addition of Kunin, Greenway and Donato adds punch to the Baby Wild run. Lots of depth at forward and all you need is a hot tender.....

    Looks as though Greenway (#2) Kunin (#19) Read (#26) and Donato (#12) have joined the Baby Wild for the playoffs. I would guess Ek and Seeler would be there if they were healthy.

    Some college hockey guys there with Kunin (Wisconsion) Rau (Minnesota) Brown (UMD) and Prosser (Colorado College). And our newest blue line additions Bitetto (Northeastern) and Hunt (Bemidji State University). Say what you like, but our farm system is well educated.

    Good Irish luck to onetime 12th overall pick ryan murphy who might get a shot as a no. 6 or 7 defenseman in New Jersey which has seen its blue line corps decimated by injuries....from the Binghamton Devils comes yet another left-handed defenseman who reports to Iowa. Kid from Wisconsin played at UMass and signed as a free agent.....
