  1. from the Sporting News: 1/24/24 "Victor Mete and Jordan Kyrou confirmed that they did not attend the gala and were not in London at the time of the incident. The following players have come out either via personal statement or with their agency to say that they were not involved with the allegations: Jake Bean, Kale Clague, Max Comtois, Dillon Dube, Dante Fabbro, Cal Foote, Jonah Gadjovich, Carter Hart, Brett Howden, Cale Makar, Colton Point, Taylor Raddysh, Sam Steel, Tyler Steenbergen, Robert Thomas and Conor Timmins." yikes!! Cale Makar? That's 17 players saying that they were not involved...somebody be lying, me thinks.....
  2. for sure, he might not have participated, but if he knew about the event(s) that makes him innocent but culpable, if he had no idea of the events and obviously did not participate, i would guess that would mean innocent and not culpable, but realistically, I would hope that anyone with any sort of morals or conscience would have quit the team immediately and reported to the police...this is the disheartening thing most of all..since he always projected as a calm, humble, rational person...i really hope that he did NOT have any sort involvement in any of this. but the fact that he took an indefinite leave does not bode well. I suspect that if he had no part in this he would have sat down with Danny B and given him full disclosure to assure him...
  3. I guess the big question is, if Hart is deemed to be culpable in any capacity as determined by the Canadian court...what does this mean for his future with the team? Is this the end of the line for not only his Flyers career, but his career overall? If he is deemed not culpable, how does that affect things because public perception can be worse than even a legal proceeding
  4. didn't someone also mention that Gauthier had a list of teams he would accept a trade to and a couple of them took a hard pass (no pun intended)...that does not bode well for the mindset of this kid.
  5. and how long has it been since we could say that about the goalie position....uncharted territory here
  6. so.... has Ersson earned the #1 spot, or is it still Carter's ? their save % and GAA are very close but Sam has 2 more SOs
  7. what is it exactly? Torts keeps alluding to the fact that Brink has some things to work on, but he won't really say what that is...
  8. Hopefully we'll see this in about 3 years: 2026 - 2027 Season: Gauthier - ANA - 14g - 35A Mitchov - PHI - 42g - 70A
  9. That might explain it TBH...maybe Anaheim guaranteed him that he would play with the big club from day one and bypass the AHL...if that's the case, yeah, what an entitled brat...now granted he might be gang busters from day one in the NHL, but it's a matter of principle....
  10. Is Chuck Fletcher getting any Severance pay? Too bad they can't deduct Ellis' salary from his Severance pay as money owed the franchise
  11. that seems like the projected Blue line they are thinking of with the new trade. But as we know, anything can happen...and if Mitchov does not make it over....then serious damage has been done to the rebuild..especially with Coots, Cam, TK aging... guys like Brink, Tippett, Farabee, Forester, even Frost maybe become the core...just hope Tyson starts lighting the lamp again soon!
  12. So i guess what this does is shift the rebuild in a different direction, Jonesy always said he wanted to build from the blueline out...now they have that piece, i suppose, and they have to find another Center , problem is that it seems unlikely that we are picking top ten in 2024, so it seems we will be in no mans land again: mid to late 1st round...where a franchise C will not be...
  13. well now that Finland has joined NATO...smuggling him out has just become easier!
  14. true...does make the team names a little awkward. I made this joke to a friend of mine, asking him: "Are there Coyotes in Quebec?" and he responded, "Who knows, there may be some soon!"

  16. It's rather frightening how routinely we lost in OT against NJ...Jack Hughes reminds me of Stamkos, kid id scary good can you imagine if the current devils team still had a Brodeur-like Goalie? Gotta love the resolve the team showed to fight back and tie...and does anyone know (exactly) what Farabee did to get benched? I didn't see the first period so... whatever it was...must have been egregious...
  17. yeah, my thought as well...Z more so...he needs to tie up the player there and not give him free whacks at the puck....on that note...Z is still hot and cold...he will make a beautiful outlet pass, or use his body to box out a player...but then he will also make a poor decision with the puck and cause a turnover or miss and easy out of the zone... so he's at 50% where he needs to be IMO
  18. So I have to wonder if this is subterfuge....and this is the story so that they can showcase Frost for a trade...he has been trade rumored for a while...
  19. I'm curious, is Brink injured? I don't recall seeing him for a few games
  20. Do they have that big guy that can screen the goalie during the PP? I suspect that the PP goals they get will have to be ugly garbage goals at this point. The cute plays are not working...time to get goals by attrition, brute force
  21. I've had discussions with people that are angry with the fact that Danny B chose Bonk when Perrault was still on the board...and maybe Perrault turns out to be a stud..but If Bonk turns out to be a steady dependable D-Man, well a team needs those guys too... side note BC has Gauthier, Leonard, Will Smith and Perrault...that team is STACKED!
  22. oh my , forgot about this site and these boards..since we are talking prospects...I am attending a BC Eagles game on 1/12/24...looking forward to seeing Cutter Gauthier play and seeing how he looks
