  1. I'm with you. I can see the Habs coming out flying tonight and they Flyers haven't been able to match that intensity. If Hart doesn't have a great game, we are looking at game 7 very quickly.
  2. I always knew @radoran and @ruxpin were the same poster but didn't think Ted and Eleven were. Learn something new every day.
  3. I never questioned it. And honestly, those that did question it really have to think about where sports rank In their life.
  4. Howie, I like this and it was a good reminder of how much skill the Flyers have on the beach just waiting for next year.
  5. A few things - Pitlick and Raffl have been the two most consistent (best?) players so far outside of Hart. The good thing about the PP being god awful is that the law of averages comes into play should they make it past the first round. They can't suck this bad for too much longer before the levees break. I'm not liking how Hayes is playing right now. Very loose with the puck. While I know during the season he would try to skate through 2 or 3 people, now might not be the time to do that. Especially at the blue line. He cleaned it up yesterday and looked better. Hopefully that continues. Again, law of averages says that our best players will eventually show up and potentially carry the team for the next few games. However, secondary scoring and support players was exactly what the Flyers were missing for the past decade. The fact that Giroux doesn't have to be the best player in the world (here or here). So while we complain, let's be thankful that they don't have to be. Fun fact - Scott Laughton and Kevin Hayes have the most points (5) this playoffs for the Flyers and are tied for 55th (not a typo) among players in the playoffs this year. I keep sitting JVR until Farabee stumbles.
  6. 2 minutes in ---- Giroux and Grant on a 2 on 1. Giroux passes back to Grant? WTF Giroux.
  7. I think that's my desire for most things I do.
  8. Did they just leave the game to go to ARI vs COL?
  9. It wasn't going to be a sweep. As someone else said, 3 past Price at this point is probably not going to happen but use the next two periods to figure it out. Probably won't be a W but get it figured out for Monday.
  10. Slow start but just need to weather the storm. Keep it at 1-0 for a while.
  11. I might be alone here and that's okay, but...... I bet it would be a little easier if she didn't post stuff like that. Or maybe instead of saying "34 days without Dad" she could say something like "Cheering for Daddy to win the Stanley Cup". Or how about "Just hanging out, don't have to worry about money (thanks Dad!)" Or maybe "Just hired a nanny to help cause Dad busts his ass to make us comfortable". I'm sure there are others - feel free to add some. Am I off base here?
  12. Interesting tidbit.... Trever Van Riemsdyk has more points so far than James while playing 2 fewer games. Not only that, but if you watched the Canes/B's game last night, you could actually see TVR's contributions. If JVR shows nothing again today, he needs to sit. At this point Bunnaman is better or hell, Frost out of position is better.
  13. Can picture it now....... Flyers win the cup and Oskar gets the keys to the city. (poor G)
  14. I'm saying he's a younger version of Raffl. He can play up and down the lineup in a pinch, good along the boards, decent hands, decent speed and can score - usually in bunches - but if you have him as your first line winger for too long, you'll start to see why he cleared waivers just 11 months ago. I'm glad he's playing well and I hope it continues for 4 rounds but let's not pencil him in as the savior just yet.
  15. NAK had a great round robin but I think it's wayyyyy to early to be putting him on the first line. Jake needs to go back there when healthy. NAK to the 3rd line wing and let JVR and Farabee fight it out for the other 3rd line wing spot. If it were me deciding.... Giroux - Couturier - Voracek Laughton - Hayes - Konecny Farabee - Grant - NAK JVR - Thompson - Pitlick Give JVR PP time and if he starts scoring again some day, try pushing him up the lines as warranted. If he doesn't start scoring, or at least start looking like a NHLer and Raffl (or Oscar) is ready to go again, JVR gets the bench.
  16. I agree with @Poulin20, there is something different about this team. It's a great feeling. Although I have a nagging feeling that if they went on a magic run and took home the cup, the asterisk next to it would always always bother me just a little.
  17. I agree with leaving JVR out for Tampa. Forgetting about the cap hit because at this point it doesn't matter, it's who is playing best. And it surely isn't him. Farabee and NAK or I guess CB but I'm not a fan personally. As @flyercanuck said, he's doesn't show fire and hasn't in a long time. Make him work for it, hard.
  18. Holy crap, there's different sides of the puck that you have too shoot? He definitely knows much more about hockey than I do. But what I do know is that I'm laying in hammock looking at a lake in August and reading about hockey. Kinda surreal.
  19. JVR assuming the role of ice dancer and coaster very quickly. Welcome back JVR.
  20. And this is just the warmups.
  21. I personally don't think there are any moves to make right now. Hopefully Lindblom and Patrick get healthy. Maybe if they have insight into that, maybe you can trade for a top 6 winger some how? JVR is either 3rd line, expansion or trade. Other than that, status quo...... from quarantine
  22. If you've got grand-kids, I'm guessing you are over 60 which makes you the hardest hit age group. Assuming this isn't a last hurrah for you for any medical reason, postponing would be my choice.
  23. Smart move. Also good timing as I was nervous for tonight.
