Strome just turned 19 last month, so it's CHL or NHL for him. I believe he has accomplished everything he can in the OHL. I see him making the Isles and getting second pp time. NIce blog Habsguy! a nice read.

Just off the top of my head, I'm thinking Bournival could make an impact next year and Mark Stone from Ottawa has a real knack for lighting the lamp. Overall though, good job!

Totally agree with that WingNut....no way will the Isles part with Okposo.....I can see Parenteau going if the right deal comes along....but Kyle...no way, no how.

After seeing Kassian play a few years at Windsor, I'm saying he will be a Lucic clone, just as tough, just as talented with his soft hands.....shot is a little of Lucic's, but he will be a star IMHO.

I've been saying for years, the Sabres desperately need a legit #1 center like Getzlaf. It would cost a LOT, I'm figuring McNabb, Kassian, and a vet like Roy.....Roy is really a solid second line center, but not a franchise center. To many deep line-ups in the East that are stacked at center. IMHO they need a star center/captain to build around. The cost would be a huge chunk of their youth, but Getz is the kinda guy who you can build around. Might come a bit cheaper due to his underperforming....but not to much of a discount....everyone knows he's the real deal on a crappy team.

Very nice work Habs fan.....would love to see part 2. Agree with most of the rankings, although it's a crapshoot right now. A lot will change between now and June....but nicely thought out projections! The one part I can intelligently comment on is Nick Ebert. He had a really slow start to the year. I know some rank him in the top 15, but I find it hard to believe he'll be anything but a late 1st round pick. To me, this kid has bust written all over him. Just my take, but agree with everything else....again, thanks for the effort!

Some of these moves make sense, which is why it's totally unrealistic from a Betteman point of view. The little midget troll will *still* not admit defeat in Phoenix, so having him give up on his dream of hockey in Florida in one fell swoop is madness.....just not gonna happen. The other factor not brought up is the NHLPA, do you think they will be in favour of having their ranks drop drastically overnight?....I'm thinking they would be a roadblock to this plan also....in fact they would try to block any plan that included teams folding and not re-locating.
