  1. I wish Adams were close to getting fired. But its not happening. He has done a good job of acquiring young talent, but it does not take a genius if you have the number one pick twice in past 5 years. But his goaltending choices have left us on the brink. We might make it this year? If we do not mess things up. The teams around us are ripe for the picking but the goalie shuffle continues. I know nothing about this Fletcher fella. Do you really put him to blame? After all you have a 30 plus goal scorer and have won a good share of games, even though it does not seem likely the playoffs are going to happen. They would need to go on a rampage.
  2. The adds are all over here too. I like Draftkings better than Fanduel. Better odds. I have made many withdrawals. They pay. At least now you do not have to worry about a local bookie paying you or breaking your legs. LOL
  3. So you guys can walk into a corner store and buy a ticket for hockey? Parlays?
  4. Sounds like you want to throw out the baby with the bathwater? What about Torts? Thanks a he fine in all of it? Actually they have played well at times but are inconsistent . But I don’t get the feed of their games
  5. If I posted this I’d be thrown to the wolves!
  6. Of course the long suffering Montreal fans have the most but it may be a while before they win again. My Sabres have far more talent than Montreal. They might be the worst team in the league right now? Along with Columbus and Chicago. PS. I bet on Edmonton tonight at Detroit on my parlays
  7. My heart just bleeds for you. All those banners and Wayne Gretsky and Messier!!!!! Come on. You have it made.
  8. For the first time in a while. They were very exciting to watch in 1975, 1999, and 2006 if I had to pick years. But this young team is indeed exciting and could make the playoffs this year if they can play as well at home as they do on the road. Early on they were playing well at home. This is on Granato. Even though Dahlin made it as he should have, I did not watch the skate and shoot nonsense with the teams that win the first shortened game playing the second. If you happened to watch, which team won? I guess I would pick the Central or Metro? Were they high scoring affairs? The old all star games were usually like 13-11 type deals but of course they played an entire 3 twenty minute periods. Now they have gone crazy as the NFL has and who cares to watch that crap either. A bunch of 5th or 6th choices playing QB to boot. When they took the game from Hawaii I think the overpaid millionaires no longer had interest.
  9. I just found out. Do you know how injured Thompson is? We don’t play for over a week. Granato must get them to play at home like they do on the road. The Penguins and Capitals are ripe for the picking
  10. Granato gives Tuch credit and says team out of sync tonight. They are one of best teams in NHL on the road but have problems at home. Very strange. Must get it fixed. We’re good at home earlier. Still they are right there and can knock out either Penguins or Capitals. No hockey for about 2 weeks and no Olympics? WTF?
  11. How in the hell is Rasmus Dahlin not on the All star team? Unreal. He has the numbers. ONLY ORR and COFFEY have reached 50 points faster than him in history. Are you kidding? And he is not on? I wont watch any of it. Good luck Tage. The NBA will have more to offer this week than hockey or the SB.
  12. Dahlin should be in for sure. What a joke
  13. Cozens skated but a minor injury kept him out. Sabres lose a shoutout. I did not like the goaltending by Luukenen in the shootout. But we did get 7 of 8 points and both Pittsburgh and Washington are in our crosshairs with over 30 games remaining. The all star break is almost B here. I feel good about our chances to get in. But we must play better at home.
  14. I wish I could get this one. Should be interesting. Vegas had Lindy Ruff's Devils on the ropes the other night but were beaten late in OT. This game at the Rangers is interesting and maybe two evenly matched teams?
  15. I do not really get this new format? But I just went to ESPN to look for the lineups, and looking at the Atlantic division, I see NO DEFENSEMEN LISTED AT ALL!!!!! WTF? I will come right to the point. It will be a crime if Rasmus Dahlin is not on the All Star team!!!! Period. Are you kidding me? I see Tage Thompson from my Sabres and I could bitch about Tuch being left out, but Dahlin? I am not sure. I see no defensemen listed and he is the best defenseman in the NHL right now IMO. Ill take him over Karlsson in a NY minute. Own Power will be there by next year. That kid is phenomenal but Dahlin, he has the numbers. He has Orr like numbers in points now. He is the 3rd fastest in NHL history to reach 50 points behind only Orr and Coffey. That is enough in itself but he belongs for many other reasons. Watch his game. Watch what he can do with the puck and how he can skate circles around opposing players. He has also become a leader. The kid is incredible. I doubt ill watch the nonsense anyway. All the circus events. As much as I love the game its not for me. But I am for a fair selection. The casual fan does not know the difference and will always select players based on past. So if a guy tapers off, he still gets on if you leave it to the untrained eye. Dahlin belongs on the team.
  16. Sabres win NHL best 5 straight and move closer to playoff spot. Once again tie Boston for the lead in goals. The Sabres and Bruins are tied for the most goals scored in the NHL. Imagine if the Sabres had goaltending the early part of the season. So now they do have 3 more games to play than the Capitals. Pittsburgh is also just ahead. They only need to catch one of them. They must learn to play with the same precision at home they do on the road. The second period last night was the best I have seen maybe since 2006. On to Minnesota. Saturday night. After that two home games before the All Star break. Comrie had a good game in goal. Not sure what Granato does Saturday? He could go back to Comrie or use Luukenen or Anderson? Its a 3 way coin flip. Of course we beat them 6-5 in one of the most exciting games of the year in Buffalo.
  17. Good goalie play by Hellebuyck is the only thing that can win this game for the Jets IMO. They do not scare me much as a unit, but they do have Wheeler who I respect much. GO SABRES!!!
  18. Well a hard fought win vs a pretty good Rangers team.
  19. OK, Tavares yes and Nylander maybe. I would not trade my young Sabres lineup for any. Toronto had best do something this year in the playoffs. Maybe the Sabres will play them?
  20. These two guys are the only reason Toronto is on the map.
  21. Why don't you put the Kracken in the Seattle forum? Anyway, while I am here, I bet the Flames in parlays tonight -1 1/2 at home vs the crappers known as the Blackhawks. They suck. Also have Colorado, Minnesota, Boston and my Sabres to keep winning in Winnipeg. I have the Kracken from last night on tickets as I wheeled them. They had no trouble disposing of Vancouver and their new coach. I am now going to go give it to Hockey Guy.
  22. If there were ever a year a surprise team could win it might be this year? A week ago Winnipeg had the best record in the West. It has changed a few times. I believe Dallas was on top last time I checked. Colorado and Vegas if healthy likely are the mild favorites, But it really seems like Boston is the only real dominant team and the Sabres did beat them last visit. Barring injuries it will take some doing to beat them. If you can find a way past Boston the sky is the limit
  23. The Sabres take down the Blues 5-3 after opening the game fast with a 4-0 lead. First win at St Louis since 2009, when Tim Connelly scored the winner, he was at Ryan Millers special night. The Sabres now are only 3 points out of a playoff spot, trailing Pittsburgh and Washington and have 3 games in hand on aging Capital’s! The Sabres really play better on the road most of the time for the typical reasons. On the road you tend to be more unified, are there to work, not entertain, sure they have had some great home wins, like the games vs Wild and Blues. But lots of great road wins including that one in Boston. Next stop, Winnipeg Sabres record at home is 11-12-2. On the road 14-7-1!!!! The Blues are also better on the road.
  24. I think the Wild are a good team that could come out of the West. It would help to maybe add a piece at trade deadline. They don’t have McKinnon or Eichel or Teresenko
  25. Boston seems like they are on a mission. Lindy has his Devils playing out of their minds too. I also think Rangers and Leafs are dangerous as Tamp are as usual but lack offense. The West has been strange. Co not dominant as expected, Vegas good when they have Eichel, Dallas right up there with scoring and solid goalie. I still hope Blues make a late run. But not starting tonight when my Sabres visit. I’m shocked the Kings are in the mix. I don’t think they can last
