Wow...
Senators literally beating down the Flyer players in their own end, continue the pressure, and come up with the goal.

Poor clearing attempt by Carter Hart didn't help matters either.
Still though, that Ottawa forecheck was fierce!

Flyers better get a lid on this quick..

Damn...weak call on Coots! Boarding.

Torts not happy and I don't blame him.
Not like Coots drove him into the boards....Chychrun saw him about to hit, even braced himself, the collision took place a bit away from the boards, but Chychrun went forward, but was ok.
Just a momentum play.

And the Sens score on the PP....guess who with the goal? Chychrun.
Refs influenced that one. Overdoing it on the call.

He should have covered it.

Not an ideal start.

Love how Staal just abandoned his place on the ice and they scored.

Who is that Walker dude on Philly?

Some very opportunistic and smart plays by him that lead to a Philly scoring chance.
Maybe I just caught him on a good shift, but he seems be on point out there.

Sean Walker he came back in the Provorov trade from L.A.

Bad decision making by Foerster.
Runs out of room in the offensive zone then tries to go around the net, ok, no prob...but them blatantly turns it over, Flyers now have to chase the play, and they end up taking another penalty in the process.

And no prize for guessing that yes, the Senators are GOING to take advantage of that.
PP for Ottawa has been deadly.

3-1 Senators.

Not for nothing but the officiating would be better for a no-check beer league. Not nearly an excuse for 9 shots in 40 minutes but it makes the game even more of a drag.

This is hard to watch.

Remember, we were a middlin defense last year.  Our offense was near the bottom.  We might have seen a reality that it will take longer to turn the O around, despite having more offensive power/ability on hand.  Our PP was mediocre.  Other than PHD, it looked like we were bottled up pretty easily.

This is also the kind of game that makes me worry about Hart's long-term development/resilience.  Will his prime be wasted on a team in flux?  If nothing else, let Ersson and Sandstrom take some of the bombing and limit Hart to 40+ games.
