He'll get there and it looks like he's being developed properly I know it makes you throw up a little in your mouth to type this. But I agree, I think the whole defensive corps has improved under Fonzie and Shaw. Also, Zamula on the point on the power play has that first unit looking the best it has. I know that's a low, low bar but, he's pretty good in that role. All he needs is to cut down on getting dogwalked one-on-one and he could be a good middle pairing option. Also, not having to cater to Provorov with minutes has been helpful. He plateaued and needed to hear a new voice if he was going to become "the Man". The 3 voices he had here couldn't get through. I'm fine with giving accolades where deserved. Tortorella and Shaw have done a wonderful with the young defenders. Hell, even Ristolainen looks serviceable. They've done a remarkable job.

He'll be 25 in a month, so we're not talking about a prospect. He won't get you a 1st-round pick, let alone a 1st + a sweetener. Just rain on my parade. And i agree with what you said. It feel like this is the Kimmo move that lead to the Cup run in 2010.

Popular Post BobbyClarkeFan16
Watching Drysdale the other night in that Montreal game, his skating reminded me so much of a certain Hall of Fame defenseman who played in the Metro for years - Scott Niedermayer. Yeah, I said it. Drysdale's skating is so good. Yeah, I'm getting ahead of myself here, but if he and York become the new age Niedermayer and Rafalski, we've hit a gold mine. And honestly, I think it's possible those two are going to hit. I'm not even going to mention the name of the player who was traded anymore. He's irrelevant now and someone else's problem. Much like Clarke when he got Desjardins and LeClair, let's marvel at how Briere stole a young number one defenseman from another organization for a malcontent that didn't want to be in Philadelphia. JR Ewing
20 minutes ago, mojo1917 said: Damn Jamie Drysdale can skate. WOW. Yup. I think he's really going to help the PP. Here's is the percentage of time he spends in each zone on the PP. League Average for defensemen is to spend 45.2% of their time in the offensive zone. He's spending 60.3% of his time there. More zone time only helps.

OccamsRazor
My defense in 2024-25 6 Travis Sanheim - 9 Jamie Drysdale 8 Cam York - 26 Sean Walker 36 Emil Andrea - 55 Rasmus Ristolainen I am open to trading Walker too but i wouldn't be shocked if they brought him back either. I am trading Seeler and Staal. Seems to have been a great shepherd so far for the sheep the quicker Michkov comes the better. My aggressive defense would look like this. 6 Travis Sanheim - 9 Jamie Drysdale 8 Cam York - 3 Ronnie Attard 36 Emil Andrea - 37 Adam Ginning trading Walker (1st), Staal (4th), Seeler (3rd) and Risto (2nd picking up half his salary). Any way only on my first bourbon of the day we'll see how it finishes....at least the Eagles can't lose today. Filling out the forward group will be interesting going into next season. He might end up playing his way out of the OHL with how well he's played this year. If the Flyers move Seeler, Walker and Staal, my hope is that they bring in a free agent. Brett Pesce and Brandon Montour are both free agents. They wouldn't look bad at all on the right side.

I don't want him going back to juniors but he won't be 20 till next January so would they be better just burning a year of his entry level towards the end of the year then? Because otherwise it could toll till the next season. Edited January 13 by OccamsRazor
