Wild vs Avalanche; Tuesday 04/09/24; 8:30 PM; Ball Arena

Hope we are able to have a win over this team. Here is a pretty fresh preview regarding this game tonight. In my opinion, they should place Firstov instead of defenseman Merril in a predicted 4th line:

Why Firstov?  He's just finding his groove with the Iowa Wild.  IMO if any young forward that is deserving of a call up right now, its Mikey Milne.  He's fast, he's got energy and I think he could do as much as Lucchini or Shaw can and probably moves better than both of them.  But I only watch just about every Iowa game so what would I know?

As I don’t, can you tell why Sammy Walker got such a short tryout this year?
He kind of tore it up in preseason and got a 2 game tryout on 2 different lines, probably a total of 14 minutes in 2 games.

Sincerely, I want all of them to have a nice tryout here. And for Milne , and for Firstov (I have a very high respect to this player), and for Walker. Maybe they will fit very well in the main club? But not Merrill (defenseman) to be a part of the 4th line for the game that means not a lot for both teams. And Johansson should not be in a 2nd line, but should be a Khusnutdinov's tryout. Gaudreau and Johansson played plenty of games this season. Maybe they should sit and think how to be more productive for helping the team? Like Evason did with Parise. Without a nice tryout we will never know who fits well.

Can we give to the Wallstedt a bigger tougher nut - Avalanche tonight? Just to see how good he is against that team, against MacKinnon, Macar, Rantanen....

Another goal for the team, which doesn't mean a lot - to finish the season with 40 wins and at least with 90 points. Ours 37 wins and 83 points don't look too good for the fans. Plus build a chemistry, chemistry and again chemistry in remaining 5 games. Can's believe that next season we will see only in October. Such an enormously long break is patiently waiting for us. We didn't have that for the last 10 years.

I feel like giving Wallstedt a chance would be good for him, and possibly his confidence, bit I don't know if he is ready for THAT kind of challenge, especially against a team that is near the top of the division/conference.

Usual battle with NHL66 to get going with away games.
Has our game started yet?

I am listening on a radio too. Gustavsson is in the net.

Gustavsson is in the net. Not sure if he is ready for that challenge too.

0:2. MacKinnon placed. His 49th this season.

Time to Gustavsson to be changed. I do not think he is ready for that game. Wallstedt should be in the net.

No. Wallstedt already got thrown to the wolves during that Dallas game. Build the kid up, don’t destroy him right off the bat.

Gus is the one that needs to get his act together. Leave him in there. They need to lose the rest of their games.

Gus was geared to be the #1 starter so he should be playing the top teams.
No reason to over work Wally at this point.
