Spider-Man NL
http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=427051The Montreal Canadiens added some much need toughness to their roster on Friday. The club acquired forward George Parros from the Florida Panthers in exchange for forward Philippe Lefebvre and a 7th-round pick in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft. The 33-year-old played 39 games with the Panthers last season, posting one goal and one assist with 57 penalty minutes.Parros will provide the Canadiens with some much needed size up front, and will likely take the burden of fighting off of undersized forward Brandon Prust, who regularly had to fight against the other team's heavyweight's last season. In eight seasons, Parros has 1007 penalty minutes in 452 games. Edited August 3, 2013 by Spider-Man NL

hf101
@Spider-Man NLHa, Wow it has been that long, eh?No doubt Parros will add some more toughness to the line-up, although I think his prime days are over, he really didn't have a great season with the Panthers.Prust imo, was a huge reason for the Habs success last year, the Rangers let their heart their heart and soul of the team walk away. jammer2
@Spider-Man NL Don't think I've said hello yet, welcome to the site!!Does the acquistion of Parros pose a significant threat to Ryan White's roster spot? Of course, George is a legit heavyweight, where Ryan is a middle weight, but can still play hockey, unlike the seventies porn star. In today's NHL tough guys are supposed to at *least* sustain a forecheck, get some shots on net, screen the goalie and fearlesly take on all comers AND protect your teammates. Parros sucks at all of those, except fighting anyone who drops the mits and creating more room for his teammates.
J0e Th0rnton
Spidey! is that you?Haha Parros will give you at least someone who can fight back
Polaris922
I like Parros. Mostly because he's from right down the road. He won't bring much to the lineup, but he does defend his teammates.
habsguy26
Welcome to the board!! Nice to FINALLY have another Habs fan on here!!!!!I personally love the trade for Parros. We didn't give up much to get him, and will contribute to our successes next season.
