Poulin20
For those of you who are not able to see the Flyers pre-season game tonight vs NJD, Jake was injured while being pulled down on a breakaway. He went down hard and looked hurt when he came up. He was awarded a PS but the injury was very evident as he skated the puck in very slowly and pretty much just weakly shot wide of the net. It was the 2nd worst penalty shot I have ever seen by a Flyer (the 1st was a PS by Hartnell a few yrs ago vs the Canes where he lost control of the puck on the way in and never really got a shot off). He played 1 shift after that and did not and will not return for the rest of the game. Let's hope it is not anything severe. http://prohockeytalk.nbcsports.com/2013/09/24/jakub-voracek-out-with-an-upper-body-injury/ Edited September 25, 2013 by Poulin20
TarHeelFlyer
I am beginning to think this team is cursed.
Mad Dog
He looked injured. What it is was hard to tell... could be a shoulder. Gawd... now we have to wait for the stupid update probably for another 24 hours. Hopefully it's nothing, but he did look in pain as he skated out the ice. hf101
Injury Update: Today, he was smiling, joking with guys and seemed fine. Coach Peter Laviolette pronounced him fine and Lavy almost always has NO comment on injuries and defers to GM Paul Holmgren.Voracek was not permitted to speak to the media, but he was walking a helluva lot better than he was trying to skate on Tuesday after being injured.
