  Yep, the jammster took the Nestea plunge and signed up with McKeen's hockey. One of the very best sites on the internet at projecting young future stars. Which means hockeyforums has signed up....lol. They rank each league month by month leading up to the draft. We are gonna get some top notch information here guys. Should be fun to see how who rockets up the charts each month. Here is the November installment for the OHL.....

So I assume this is one of the top sites then.  Awesome! Great job jammer...thanks for doing this.  I'm looking forward in reading this on a monthly basis.

Mayby we can pin/sticky this to the top of the forum section.  I will have some more comments after I'm done reading.

Again Thanks! :)

Just read through the top 10.  Seems to me if the Flyers can just land in top 5 of draft, they will still be able to draft and impact player.  Sounds like there are some very talented players here.  Like I menitoned above, I'm going to enjoy reading this up to the draft.

A top 5 pick would likely give us either a great 1-2 punch down the middle (Giroux plus McDavid/Eichel/Strome/Zacha) or another bluechip defenceman (Hanifan/Kylington). Either way it would improve this team huge. Down the road we may end up with a surplus, if we're lucky, at center or D, but considering those two positions are the most valuable commodities in the NHL (never understood how little goalies get valued) thats a great position to be in. Either position could be dealt for that winger we need, and it should be at an upsell (a better winger should carry same value as a slightly lesser C or D.

@canuck...

I guess I've always rationalized the goalie 'value' thing like this:   A 'top' prospect d-man or forward that doesn't quite reach their potential always has the ability to become a more defensive specialist, pk specialist, 3rd liner, or 5/6 dman.

A top goalie prospect that doesn't reach their potential usually won't be good enough to stick in the league.

There are just more options to 'salvage' value from a dman or forward that doesn't quite pan out... a goalie that doesn't develop is basically a waste of a pick for a team.

I agree when it comes to prospects...and I wouldn't waste a 1st round pick on a goalie...they're too hard to evaluate where they'll end up.

But even veteran goalies don't carry as much value as a defenceman or a centre. Look at trades, salaries. Rarely is a goalie the teams highest paid player

 Glad to be of service, this is gonna be fun to follow. We will have some very exclusive information leading up to one of the best drafts ever!  I've been buying the McKeen's Prospect magazine for over a decade now. They really know their stuff.

  Slowly but surely, the draft is starting to become clear. A big part of this is the World Junior Championships. It gives you the ability to cross reference some of the prospects, see them head to head etc. One thing that became clear to me was the wonderful skating and all round vision of American prospect Brandon Carlo. I've seen him ranked from #17 all the way down to #42. If a wicked talent like Carlo is not even listed in the top half of the upcoming draft, well....you can see why they call it one of the best ever. Personally, I think Carlo moves up into 11-15 slots eventually. I was *really* impressed with his play for team USA, ditto for Werenski of Michigan. Maybe I did not watch him carefully enough, but Noah Hanfin just looked "meh"...there was no electric "WOW" factor, which is kinda what I was expecting. I thought Cam Fowler looked much more dynamic during his tourny a few years back, but like I said, maybe I just did not watch him close enough.

Marner is just lighting it up. Don't like his size but he looks like Giroux out there.

Pretty much along my thoughts too FC.  I've been reading lots of good things about Crouse....

Just gotta pray the Flyers get in top 5.........

Konecny had a great game. He got off to a bad start this year and really fell in the rankings. But he's back to playing well and had a chance to showcase that last night. A little on the small side but highly skilled.

Looked like Team Cherry could have used some Mackenzie Blackwood last night.
