[18 March] The Flyers are at 73 points with 10 games to go

Most points the Flyers can get are 91, with 38 wins. Boston needs 8 points in 11 games (0.36 point percentage) with a minimum of 3 wins to eliminate the Flyers, or 9 points total (0.41p%). Ottawa needs 10 points with 4 wins, or 11 points to do the same, with 12 games remaining (0.42p% and 0.46p%, respectively). That's if the Flyers don't lose a single game from here on out. It's more likely that Columbus (68 points, 11 GR) and New Jersey (71 points, 12 GR) pass the Flyers in the standings than the Flyers making the playoffs.

@AJgoal  NJ is one of those teams that you want to be in front of...cause there is a REAL chance they will take the best offensive player available, thus leaving one less prospect for the Flyers to peruse. I know BPA....but one would think, if it's close to a tie in terms of upside and or impact, the forward will be the Flyers choice...thus the need to finish lower than the Devils...who are outright desperate for Goals of any kind.

Buffalo was not mathematically out until a couple weeks ago. Realistically, they were out in training camp. The Flyers had absolutely no chance since before Christmas The "mathematical" argument can't even mail a letter to reality. It's a crutch for delusion.

Devils up 2-0 early on Buffalo. Go Devils!
