hf101
The 33 year old Marc-Andre Fleury will be staying in Vegas as he signed a 3 year deal worth $21M. Totally worth th he money imo.
Math
'sbolutely. 3 year is the upper limit for a goalie, but given the leadership and attitude he brings, it's a great deal.
yave1964
Seems about right, a little more money per year in exchange for only doing three years. Both sides got and gave to make it happen.
Puck_Pun
Given how much of their great season is because of him, yeah totally worth giving him that much.
TropicalFruitGirl26
Good deal for Vegas. Either young goalie Subban or Dansk can still afford to develop a bit more....one in the AHL, the other as the NHL backup....and over the course of those three years, either will see their share of starts as well because I think the Knights will either start tapering back MAF's workload, or he will need some IR time and the two young goalies will get their chance that way. Add to that the Knights have plenty of good players still, some others coming off the books next year, and enough cap room, and even the 7M per doesn't seem like it would hurt them very much in the forseeable. If the Knights don't get too crazy with messing up a good thing, they may have a legit shot to try making another run this upcoming season...…….and they certainly will need MAF to get there. MAF was out for part of the season! Thier backup held the fort beuitifully which helped the Knights to a great season! The Knights will not win a Cup if Fleury is the starting netminder. They might win it if he is the backup!
