  1. Giroux is a big part of the problem, without Jagr to carry the puck in the zone,"G" reverts back to "Little Claudie" decent player, but definitely not the guy to lead the Flyers to the higher ground. There is no leader on this team! Homer has failed, this team reeks of of Clarkie,he did it again! It seems Ed Snider will never learn. I always wondered why the Flyers never considered Brian Burke for management,he has had decent returns where ever he was,he has history with the organization, never out of work long. Seems like a missed oppurtunity!
  2. Interesting article! Another Homer/Clarkie Blockbuster deal! I wonder who those idiots will trade next? http://www.tsn.ca/toronto/blogs/jonas_siegel/?id=434023
  3. Is it me or would anybody else like to see a Flyer "D" man who can clear the net. Gus seems like he would be a decent forward on a slow night. Anybody seen Hal Gill?
  4. Everybody hates Homer, what about Clarkie? Every move reeks of Clarkie! Ed Snider's siamese twin:Guess who?
  5. I for one, hope "Chief gave him a good spanking,Sileski probably wants him deported! After last night's game, poor passing, collisions, make believe net crashing and unique offense maybe it's time Hall and Rinaldo on a line Giroux. Spice things up a little.
  6. Chief's answer is exactly what I would expect and a breathe of fresh air to boot. Maybe a better approach would be for the reporter to contact Rosehill ? This attitude/swagger is what's been missing with the Flyers for a long time!
  7. I like seeing "Chief" at the front of the canoe, helping the underperforming members of the Flyers gain new perspective to the game of hockey. My only negative is why Homer waited so long to make the move.
  8. Do you mean"until Ed and Clarkie goes?
  9. No matter who comes and who goes,Clarkie will remain. That means "No Cup"!
  10. Still missing a "Bad A##" defenseman that controls the area in front of the net! It would have been nice to see how Morin responded for a short (five games) trial period before sending him backmaybe he would have suprised us. The first two periods things appeared to have improved, but in the third the ghost of seasons past showed up. Is Hal Gill going to change all that?
  11. Maybe you guys are just getting old? Between Center Ice and CSN I'm good.
  12. On the Gill signing, I bet Kadri will be happy!
  13. I agree with "Jam" 100%! For example look what Brian Burke has done with"Leafs",lots of big talented people, built thru the draft, trades, solid team building. Then look at what Homer has done in about the same time period. Calgary will probably win a "Cup" before the Flyers.
  14. The suprising thing about the Flyer's handling of Hall is he is a great faceoff guy,as we saw in the Caps game, definitely a stand-up guy(something that is missing here)that gives you what he's got. This team has no soul,no leader,no direction and a lousy GM and coach, that have the Flyers on a long ride to no where.
  15. My suggestion would be for Homer to package the "Albatross Brothers" Luke&Duke and trade them for some real NHL players are available. Overrated and understaffed is a Homer/Clarkie trademark. Any predictions on the returnof the cup to Philly?
  16. They just need to wait until he grows up!
  17. How many posters here have placed a bet on the wrong horse and it came in first? Then forgot to mention it was by mistake?
  18. Clarkie's second attempt was the beginning of "The Dark Ages" of management for the Flyers,Homer appears to be following in his foot steps. Clarkie had no idea how to deal with a talent like Lindros, plus he could'nt handle Bonnie and Carl, how much worse could he have made it? By the way Ovechkin's agent's are his parents, not a bad contract either. Clarkie was a great hockey talent, but you don't have to be a chicken to know what an egg is!
  19. He mentioned Simmonds being a defensive liability in his own end,the guy scored twenty eight goals, not too shabby. I suprised Braydon Doughburn's play didn't get mentioned, after all he is a defensive leader, and he sure didn't score twenty eight goals. Maybe Bill is doing this weeks column from London and its real foggy.
  20. Sorry guys english is the only language I speak.
  21. During the Clarkie/Homer Dark Ages of Drafting period ? Maybe Homer could contact Russ Farwell for some advice?
