After the altercation with the prolific goal scorer Steve Ott,Lavi appears to be losing his grip, skipping his meds,or something. You gotta go with hot goalie!
Sestito could apply for John LeClair's job:stand in the crease and put a lot of pucks in the net.His size alone could be a big benefit.Last night the main thing missing was the Flyer's physical game.According to what I read this morning Lavi is still looking for it.Young, big player's is something the Flyers don't have very many of,smaller players playing a bigger man game is how a lot of injuries happen.Hopefully Sestito will stick around for a few games.
If Homer wants to trade players he should start with the veterans, the Flyers are top heavy with NHL senior citizens. The younger guys are the real future, ask Nathan Horton, this season has a breath of fresh air, unfortunately Bryzo is an unpatched leak in the game plan.Isn't JVR recovering from a torn stomach muscle? Does anybody miss Philly.com?
Before Bryzo was signed I was concerned about him being waived by the Sharks and the Ducks,as far asI know he was never #1 goalie. He was handed that position with the Coyotes and hyped by a lot of people(Homer loves hype!). So far he has been a disappointment as the goaltending solution. Bobbo looks good, but he looked good at times last season, caving when it really counted. Homer needs to find a good goalie mystic,Soon!
Hello again and "Merry Christmas"! I think all the signs were available to the "Go get a HOF goalie Now committee".Whatever Bryzo does,he has done it before for the Sharks,Ducks and Coyotes,no surprises here. He comes apart with any pressure(real or imagined),scrums in the crease area are a major problem, not physically aggressive(like Hexie). When Bryzo goes down,he stays down, slow recovery, not a make the save at any cost goalie. Bryzo=BooBoo and a "Happy New Year"
How about some of the Phantoms? Both of the rookies have really produced, maybe a good idea to look at some of the other Phantom "D" men(not Bartulis). Why spend money and time on another teams under producing players? The Flyers already have Walker and Lilja. The rookies (not just the"d" men) have added something missing here for a long time, hard work, enthusiasm, competition, etc. Looks like a team Clarkie built.
These guys are really stepping up.Training camp evaluations don't work,I wonder if any of the other Phantoms deserve a second look? Lavi's system works better on lesser talented players and it shows the last couple of games. This system requires hard work,Wayne Simmonds is a good example. Keep up the good work.
By now it should be obvious the missing ingredient for the Flyers has been youth.Iginla is a bad idea, with the high number of the NHL's senior citizens already on the team,Homer should continue the youth movement. Jagr has been a great choice, but their is no need to get carried away. Anybody heard anything about Schenn returning?
